Infusing just died.
Can't believe what you actually need to infuse gear and weapons, it's ridiculous they have killed fusing for sure.

Materials drop like crazy from public events, chests, lost sectors and when frosaken drops even bounties. It won't be difficult you just need minimal grinding for it.

As a vet, I'm upset because I had to spend tons more resources in D1 to max my gear! /sarcasm In all honesty, I'd be inclined to agree. The only change I would make, however, is that of decreasing planetary resources on matching weapon types. Currently the glimmer cost drops by half and the legendary shards go from 25 to 10. But resource cost stays at 10. I think they should halve it down to 5 on matching weapon types.

41 RepliesIf I want to infuse, say an exotic pulse into a legendary pulse, it's 10 mats and some glimmer....which is easy. Same slot, add 10 shards....it's not bad. The issue is most people upset with this aren't the vets that had this system in D1 which was even harder, especially to level a weapon, you had to spend a ton of glimmer and mats. This is how it always was except in D2. I'm ok with the changes and makes it more challenging.

11 RepliesIt's smart on bungies part. I was wondering about it myself. So I went to the edz, I played one public event. Got 4 infusing materials (can't remember the name of them) As the public event was ending a high value target was near. Killed him. Got another 4 materials. Done another public event and got another 4 materials. It was super fast to get the 10 materials I needed. I spent maybe 10 minutes if that. So no need to complain about it. Why I say bungie was smart doing this. Now it makes people play certain aspects of the game to level up. Meaning we'll see more people at public events and on planets now than ever before. Good thinking on bungies part. I'm just happy it's not like d1. I spent 4 hours on mars finding material to level up my gjallyhorn back in the day. -blam!- that!

2 RepliesLooks like I'm the only one who agrees with you. I have no interest in returning to worlds to farm materials and patrols I've done a hundred times unless they're the weekly Flashpoint destination. Another example of Bungle fixing something that wasn't broken and no-one asked for.

One thing you should remember is that we will be getting plenty of new weapons when Forsaken hits and most of the time those weapons will be power bumps over our current gear and therefore most likely something you'll choose to use over many, if not all, of the old weapons you currently have. Also, I'm fairly sure that soon after launch, with the addition of random rolls, many of the old D2 weapons with static perks will become less useful and appealing compared to Forsaken weapons. As a final note, with both of those two things in mind, you will most likely not find gear you will want to keep and infuse up to max power until you reach endgame, which I'm assuming will be (and am hopeful for to be) not for a while after Forsaken's launch.

10 RepliesIts so easy. You can get the materials to infuse your whole armory in less than 2 hours. I collected a total of 300 seraphite today with light grind and tons of screwing around. Legendary shards are super easy to get, you can get like 50-200 a day just playing, and glimmer you just get so this is no big deal

I was surprised as well. But now, we have to think before we infuse, as opposed to merely taking a gun up to 385 then stuffing it in our vault.
