Worst FPS campaigns?
What is the worst, or some of the worst, first person shooter campaigns, or shooter campaigns in general, that you have played?
Personally I have 4 main shooter campaigns that I have grown to despise and those are:
Halo 5- Do I really need to explain? Some of the worst writing, characterization, choreography, no drama, mindless action, boss fights recycled 9 times, etc.
Destiny- Can’t have terrible writing if you don’t have any writing at all can you?
Resistance: Fall of Man- Boring, bland environments, little to no story, no real variety, bullet sponge enemies, no characterization, etc.
CoD: Black Ops 3- campaign isn’t linked to BO2 in any way, they just force some dialogue about Henendez at some point and kill a character with some random Nova 6 virus...for some reason. Wasn’t even remotely interesting until the halfway point and even then the “interesting” part that got my attention wasn’t exactly a good thing

Halo 4, narratively is the best Halo, but actually playing through is a slog for me. Borderlands 1- despite loving it, the actual story is pretty bad.

2 RepliesAll these people complaining about Destiny 2's campaign. For starters, Destiny 1 was worse, and even then it was mediocre. There are other FPS games out there with truly abysmal campaigns. Duke Nukem Forever, Farcry 1, CoD: Ghosts, Haze, Command and Conquer: Renegade.

But the whole lost your powers thing have virtually no effect on the game since it gave you them right back in under an hour, can't replay mission as easily as Destiny 1, the raid felt more like a puzzle than an actual fight, and the DLC formula is D1 all over again (base game is ok, your seasons pass gets your two meh stories then they make you pay $40 for a proper story) Lesser known one: Survarium. The campaign would be cool, but in order to play it, either buy tickets with real money, or use the two you get every two PvP wins a day and pray you actually find players. The PvP can be fun though, don't get me wrong but good luck getting the story.

Battlefield outside of Bad Company is pure and total garbage in terms of campaigns. The only reason I finished 4's campaign was for the P90 and M249, and I'd need to slog through it again to get them on PC. .

All of black ops were pure trash and VERY hard to even want to play. That’s why I already like bo4 more than any of BO lol, I don’t even need to play it to know it’s better. Treyarch knows their story mode is HORRIBLE

Black Ops 3: HEY GUYS! GUYS! What if we try to tell a story about technology and the role of AI in the future of our military? Me: Seen it before, even with other CODs, but with a Black Ops spin on it, this could be a good extension of the story of Black Ops 2. Black Ops 3 at the end: Jokes on you! You need to read that tiny fast moving text at the bottom and a tie in comic to understand the story! The clues were all there, see! God we're so smart. Dark Souls, Metal Gear Solid, and Bioshock don't have SHIT on us for storytelling/world building.

4 RepliesWas Black ops 3 the one where you're just shooting robots the whole time? Cause that was terrible. I didn't care for Halo 5 that much either, but it seemed more fun with the new mechanics than the older ones, the older ones just had much better stories.
