1 ReplyEdited by Frostwolvern: 3/15/2017 6:38:05 PMPersonally, I prefer to go against the meta. I feel that it ruins the game when everyone uses the same few weapons just because they're better stat wise. How I've always seen it is that if you preform well using only the meta, you are not a experienced or good player. You shouldn't need some type of crutch to preform well. In Year One; Vanilla, I used Thorn and a sniper rifle. When this got popular I stopped. It is no fun when everyone uses the same guns. Plus, it's super fun to beat people whom are using much superior weapons with something that's mediocre. It's the same with people who grind for 'God Rolls', I'd rather spend time improving to beat said people who feel like something that insignificant will be the deciding factor in game.

1 ReplyI loved the matador meta and honestly i dont have any problems with this one.Excepting trials because of loosing the special after each round. But since the Matador meta i always use my sniper and im happy.
-
Trespasser and ice breaker. Nuff said. who needs a primary when you have these two weapons lol

*ahem* teacup tempest, hopscotch pilgrim

I've played since the beginning and around the clever dragon/matador phase I took a break because it all just felt stale. When I came back to try this update at first it felt so different-- a little slow, side arms, no special, but as I settled in I've begun really enjoying it. I had a match I went 31-8 using zhalo and the fact you can work guns into different play styles makes this refreshing. I do think more balancing needs to be done to cool side arms down. Trials is pretty littered with wormwoods, but I'm enjoying Destiny more than I have in quite some time.

I like it, Been killed by alot of different weapons this time.

I like this meta because it's great for player like me that prefer primaries and have been focusing on them since day one. If you still have have a nirwins mercy laying around, use it. I've got a god roll with max stability and it's a laserbeam- on burst of headshots and its a 3 burst Kinda op. It make the game about map awareness and gun skill, not rewarding unskilled bumrushers

2 RepliesI like this meta. Because there are less apes. ~TheGreatNike

Positivity pls
I was going to comment, but there were too many rules. And the rules are really difficult to adhere to. Nearly impossible to follow all these damn rules.
-
6 RepliesI do like the focus on primaries personally. Sidearms also finally have a place in the meta. Buuuuuut, I think losing ALL of your Special on death is a bit harsh. I would've preferred losing half of my ammo. That way you're still penalized, but not quite as bad.
-
1 ReplyIt forced me to become a halfway decent sniper.
-
3 RepliesI like this meta because it's so bad I play other games.
-
3 RepliesIt's alright. Not the best it could have been. Just a little too slow paced for my liking. 6v6 just seems to drag on and on these days.
-
1 ReplyI like this Meta because it got rid of the shotgun/clever dragon crutch. I dislike sidearms get most the ammo back you picked up on spawn and No Crutch Beyond visual flinch doesn't match it's actual flinch. I had to chuckle yesterday when my NLB muzzle climbed 3 feet above a guys head before firing but I still pulled a headshot out of it.

2 RepliesCrucible dropped to 269g players yesterday. 205g ran trials over the weekend. Down from 850g 4-5 months ago. Its approaching all time lows. 60g less than the weeks before the patch and continually dropping. These numbers are horrible and its because of the current state of pvp.

1 ReplyIt's all right, people are mostly using their primaries, but I'm seeing way too many Eyaslunas and Palindromes. Sidearms are rampant too. On the positive side, I enjoy using Suros Regime, Nirwen's Mercy, Finnala's Peril and the Tlaloc.
-
Meta now is trash, in a positive I hate playing now and I quit kinda way.
-
What got hit this last patch/ update? Did mida get nerfed?
-
Feels good to use auto rifles again, I'm tired of the Clever Dragon
-
When I shoot someone with my hand canon they take damage. It's still a little strange to me because I feel like it's been a year since that was a thing, but I can totally get use to that. Also the new patch forced me to learn weapons that I hadn't used before and I actually enjoy using now.
-
1 ReplySidearms are more fun to use than Shotguns. And liking that there are a lot more primary fights.
-
6 RepliesLove the fact that primary gun skill is now a thing. Hate the fact that players who love to run snipes or be very aggressive with shotguns basically can't anymore. It's sad to see secondaries become non existent now with only sidearms being viable or people running icebreaker.
-
Ice breaker is good again. Thats it. Otherwise everyone can take their dang sidearms and and go cry in the vault.
-
Lately I've been using Thorn and a fusion rifle ( plus a sword ) got hate mail with that setup lmao Sidearms are kinda annoying when I'm using an auto rifle/ close range primary but otherwise it's fun
-
Just the high impact auto rifles? I'm down with that!
-
They should of made it where you lose all reserve ammo, if you die you lose all ammo except a full mags worth. If they put it to that now, people would still use sidearms because they know how powerful they can be, but all other specials would be viable again.
