7 RepliesAnother one: Bullets become less accurate as they go farther, not only because of environmental factors. They also lose accuracy as they slow down because how their previous speed. A bullet goes from supersonic to trans sonic to subsonic speed. In trans sonic, the bullet is no longer traveling at the speed of sound which means as it slows down, it can it its own shockwave in the air knocking it off target a little. This is what causes bullets to usually lose most of their accuracy over long distances when nothing else is.
