4 RepliesWhile the II's are undeniably the most powerful, I've always had a soft spot for the III's, even before Reach. Also, don't the Reach III's use the same armir program as the II's, at the time?

The spartan III's on the other hand are pretty pathetic compared to II'S and IV'S, since they were pretty much designed to be expendable.

3 RepliesSpartan II's are far superior to III's in every way. II's were bred to nullify the rebels before the covenant attacked harvest, they were designed to be one man/woman armies. III's whilst still superior to regular infantry were bred to use team tactics and overwhelm there enemies, in one of the books it actually says they were designed for suicide missions as they were not augmented, trained or outfitted as well as the II's (which were expected to return victorious). I think catherine halsey, the creator of the spartan II's had no hand in the III's and actually opposed their creation. As far as I know all the I's died before they even touched a battlefield due to mostly botched augmentation. So in conclusion..... Spartan II's are the big boys. My post is based upon the extended lore from the books if i got anything wrong please correct me!

If we're just talking the effectiveness of the armor, the mjolnir gen 2 from halo 4 and t is objectively the best. Most advanced tech, lighter more protective, better shielding, more effective at enhancing the abilities of Spartans. However if we're talking looks, the original mjolnir is the best.

Armor-wise, I liked Reach and 4. Mostly because you could fine tune a lot of individual pieces of armor instead of what we got in 3 and 5.

In terms of usability, the II's. In terms of looks, the III's. In terms of brightness, the IV's.
