Make hand cannons competitive again

Make hand cannons competitive again for pvp. Since their nerf hardly anyone uses them anymore unless it's for a quest or a bounty. None of the maps force you to get up close and personnel for the hand cannons to be a suitable choice for players in the crucible. Make hand cannons standout again.

  • They are you random. Sweatie players play nothing but handcannon cuz they're good as -blam!- but they actually require a skilled hand to use that's why plebs like you can't get kills with them.

          Apparently john weisnewski thought they were fine b4 releasing the last weapon balance. We were all saying the same thing the moment we saw the patch notes. We all said they need more ammo and their accuracy fix(bloom bullshit). We only got an ammo fix but since we are always missing we use more ammo in pve and end up running out of ammo anyway. They had time to adjust/tweak hcs a bit b4 the patch release but they didnt. Pvp is manageable but its still frustrating when u know s1 should be dead but rng bullets saved them and u get owned. Hopefully we get a god damn fix because this shit is pissing me off. Im stuck with scouts atm cuz i dont like ar or pr.

        • They're really good, just seems like you hit them because the sights are so small and there is practically no zoom in when ADS. Once you get a couple days practice with a handcannon it gets much better.

        • Last time I check TLW was handcannon I seem to get killed by that a lot. Hand cannons are fine they just a little more skill to use than year 1

            • I prefer hand cannons but have noticed that auto rifles seem to be the current meta. Often, it's the only weapon that seems to be used with the occasional scout or hand cannon. Secondaries seem well balanced as I'm seeing a healthy mix there but hand cannons are definitely lower on the use scale.

              • Agree with Shephard on this one. Hand Cannons are still viable in PvP, just not at the range they used to be. Which is why you should run a HC with a sniper if the map is big enough to force a fair amount of mid-to-long range encounters. The ability to 3-shot at the range some HCs still have, coupled with a high impact sniper will make you very threatening in virtually every map, save for the super enclosed ones. Obviously, no load out is universally applicable. A HC/sniper setup will need a decent secondary option to cover all the bases. I will concede, however, that bloom on HC's is a shitty and lazy way to balance weapons. Bungie being Bungie, I guess.

                • Just because a map doesn't force you to get close, doesn't mean you can't. If shotguns are able to frequently get into 1 shot range by running, a hand cannon user can get into double tap range with a hand cannon.
