We want elementals back on raid weapons and raid exotic.

Title says all, There was no reason to get rid of them, it's not too late they can be added to the September DLC Cozmo. And please don't tell me it was for variety... It wasn't, they ADD VARIETY. Post to keep it "popular so Cozmo will see it. Thanks! [spoiler]#BBelementals[/spoiler]

  • Bump. The issue was they only had a few elemental primaries in year one, AND THEY JUST SO HAPPENED TO BE THE BEST WEAPONS IN THE GAME, SANS ELEMENTS. Caps lock for emphasis. Correlation, not Causation. Please bring back elemental primaries, and make enough of them that one doesn't have to worry about only a few being available. That have minimal effect on PVP except for making one feel more connected to their character and weapon. PVE design will need to rely on more than just strong colored shields. Improve AI, work out better enemy checkpoints. There's plenty of ways to go about this: A strengthening ritual or procedure in-game that allows a weapon to gain an elemental property, or an expensive/rare item that can be infused. Or making Unique Legendaries & Exotics possess elemental burns. Making decisions unilaterally about the game, with little discussion and whilst ignoring feedback is not the way to ensure player cooperation, commitment or support. Please, please, listen.

  • Bump. I've all but quit Destiny because of their constant butchering of the game and stripping it of fun/unique weapons. Elemental primaries would be a step in the right direction towards getting me and others to come back.

      • The obvious solution to this issue is Elemental "cores" that can be infused into primary weapons. Weapons may be infused with one element and only one element. The cores would be rare and hard to obtain (maybe 1 per week per account or 1/week/character). This would literally triple the weapon diversity and give the community back one of its most missed features. It would also make you think long and hard about what element to infuse into which guns.

            Agreed. Lets take the almighty Fatebringer for example. Apart from Arc Burn Nightfalls, which only used to be a fortnightly/monthly occurrence, in what way did having Arc Burn actually benefit us? Fallen Captains. One enemy in the game. It was the perks that made Fatebringer godly... Firefly, Outlaw, Sureshot and a choice between Snapshot, Explosive Rounds and a 13 Round Magazine size using Field Scout as well as Oracle Disruptor. Elementals on Primaries make the weapon feel more complete have have a "carrot on a stick" kind of draw to them. If Bungie want us to Raid more, bring back the elements and make the element random on the Primaries.

              • A consumable would solve all the problems. End game consumable that can be used on any legendary. 3 per character. That way we have variety.

                • Yes please! Elemental burn was one reason I decided to try other primaries besides scout rifles and made me want to invest time into them. I remember getting Oversoul Edict and thinking,"wow another crap pulse rifle," but it had arc-burn on it so I decided to use it. Long story short, it wasn't the best, but I got very good with it and loved shooting through Hive Knight darkness walls, and melting normal Fallen Captains. I got Grasp of Malok with a terrible roll (Guerilla Fighter and body shot extra damage perk) and I decided to keep it. Besides the crap perks, it was just missing something and felt like a knock-off. Needless to say it turned into marks and I feel pretty annoyed at how fast Bungie ruined a good thing all in favor of variety. Like I said I used all kinds of guns because they had burns and felt unique as opposed to the dime-a-dozen junk that continues to spiral down the proverbial toilet... Thanks, I guess...

                        • Elementals would be nice to have back. I do like the yr1 RNG of exotics over everyone gets a trophy for playing type thing. There's absolutely nothing to distinguish a 3 week old player from an original guardian. Gun shaders is on my wish list also. Kill 5000 centurions or create 10000 orbs to get cool stuff. Just examples. Make endgame something worth grinding for again.

                          As Cozmo has responded to this I wonder if primaries will be back in the new DLC. Anyone taking bets ?Lol Slightly, ( well enormously) off topic. Is anyone else worried that instead of an E3 reveal for the DLC they are doing it this week. Does not bode well for the size of it

                              They should go beyond removing elements from primary weapons and get rid of them on some special and heavy weapons if it fires a bullet that has a shell casing make it kinetic. Like keep omolon weapons with a element, fusion rifles and rockets.
