Before the butt hurt Hush fan or the salty JMP fan come charging in majestically shirtless, hair flowing in the wind, on their white horse, let them consider what I am saying and allow them to take it with a grain of salt and an open mind.
Now, let's begin today's lesson:
JMP double X and Hush Slays both present their videos with click bait, yet, both of them have claimed not to and, if you ask them, both of them would state that they don't. But they do it without realizing it. How? Well, :
-they try to sell you on the assumption that the weapon is "godly" or "op", when in reality, it rarely is.
-both of them are using their own skill to win gunfights and not the actual weapon.
-both of them play objective based games and then ignore the objective and focus on the enemy because the enemy team is most likely distracted by the spark, the salvage relic, or the control zone, which makes them easy pickings for Hush/JMPDoubleX.
-both of them camp in a close quarters area of the map where they can funnel the enemy team and pin them down, no matter what weapon they are using
-both of them try to assert themselves as "average joes", in order to try to relate to the audience when they are really PVP gods.
-both of them entrance their audience and convince them that the weapon is an "auto-win" button because they know that if they can convince their audience that a weapon is good, then that person will tell their friends and Hush and JMP gain recognition and subscribers.
But the vast majority of the time, the average player will not be able to go unbroken with a Finala's peril or get a breaker with a longbow synthesis because well, they're average. They do not have the same skills that Hush or JMPDoubleX does.
So why are Mr Fruit and Blessious more reliable than JMPDoubleX and Hush slays are, even though they are both less skilled and experienced? Because:
-they do not use click bait terms such as "godly" or "OP" in their thumbnails and video titles.
-they present the weapon as it is and not as it could be.
-they are honest and do not cut out moments of frustration or moments of failure.
-they don't try to sell you the weapon as a Business man: they try to show you the weapon as a friend.
-they are generally more relatable to the average player and the average players vastly out weigh the godly players.
-they use Satire and are highly animated in their own videos because they do not care and are not trying to be professional, they are trying to be entertaining.
-they use the weapon on multiple game types and not just Rift.
Those are the reasons why I believe that Mr Fruit and Blessious are more educational than JMPDouble X and Hush Slays are: because they are trying to show you what the weapon is and what it does. They are not trying to sell you anything so they have more freedom of speech when talking about the weapon.

5 RepliesIm really starting to feel like this generation is lost.
-
6 RepliesI'm obsessed with watching mr fruit videos the guy cracks me up 😂
-
1 ReplyBetter question is: Who cares?
-
I like to watch people who are skilled. Not people who run around and die like a dumbass. These youtubers separate the casuals from the actual players imo. Ive seen alot of people in Fruit's clan.
And theyre all shit.
My friend played with JMP a couple days ago. Looked at their score in C6v and they were(YOU GUESSED IT) pubstomping. Never have i seen jmp or hush in a party with randoms. You can commonly see fruit playing with randoms. See what im getting at?
-
1 ReplyWait, aren't some of fruits episodes trying to sell weapons?
-
Mr fruit uses op in titles. For his satire sales video.
-
yeah. JMP plays random from what I have seen. I played on a zone control match. first minute he rushed liek crazy, failed 2 times and then stayed on the back 24/7 with a spare change.25 and LDR 0 captures too
-
I am subbed to all of those guys except Hush so I can't speak about him. I have noticed that JMP does not play the objective and have called him out on it on a few of his videos. Most of the guys with high kd's play this way though. They purposely play objective game modes and use the objective as bait.
-
So... Why is this relevant to my life?
nah, Just joking;) although, the term 'clickbait' is not used properly. So is 'educational' hahaha
-
If I'm going to use bandwidth to stream it will end with etflix, or orn.
-
Just to let you know, Mr. Fruit actually has used "OP" in majority of his weapon review titles (although it is sarcastic most of the time).
-
Truth be told I watch none of them. However your description of the faithful white knights charging in on there horses was truly funny.
-
Does it really matter that much, just watch who makes you moist as a fountain. I personally watch all of them
-
1 ReplyI avoid all open mouth neckbeard videos claiming shit like dregg's promise to be godly....
-
They're all annoying af
-
Its crazy seeing people talk about hush because my real life friend poayed with him a lot before he quit destiny and I was subbed to him at about 100 subs
-
point 2 I totally agree for. Every single one of there videos you see. "OMG GOD ROLL" or "SO OP" or "CHECK OUT THIS GOD ROLL" I mean these guys must get these "god" rolls all the time lol. most of the time they are just average guns with one good perk
-
About time someone noticed
-
I've watched a number of JMP videos now because they've come up in my Suggested Videos feed, and you're right, nearly every single one has claimed that an average weapon is amazing. But what stops me from subbing him is that I've seen a few videos where he has prefaced it by saying that he does not like asking for likes or comments but then requests that we do. Plus I can't stand his thumbnails, but I guess the goofy overexcited headshot is the norm for big YouTubers these days.

Agreed

Edited by Ciudecca: 5/22/2016 11:40:30 AMI agree with you. I know Hush and JMP, dislike Mr. Fruit and don't know who the last one is, but I totally agree with you. JMP just shows the good clips with a weapon, never a real live gameplay
-
3 RepliesI swear every single video i see of JMP is "______ is SO OP" or "_____ is TOO OP". I also can't stand how he talks. Why do people in destiny videos feel they need to put some weird emphasis on every. single. word.
-
Well said *claps*

Mr. fruit is sometimes agonizing to watch as he has the attention span of a small fish in a bag. He walks past things or does not notice people that any person with eyesight can't miss. I love his stuff, but it hurts me to watch sometimes :/
