Dark Souls 3 second boss?
I am new to the Dark Souls series, and I just want to know how you beat that 2nd boss. I try to stay behind him but I just get frostbitten all the time and die instantly. I am the Knight class.

Stay behind him, not under him; during the second phase, he has a squat attack to punish you if you're under him. Stay as close to his butt as you can.

Beast boss rules: stay underneath or behind. Frost bite shouldn't be too much of an issue but if you really need time to back off and estus that's what summons are for. If you beat Sword Master at firelink shrine he's available to summon before Vordt. Let him take aggro, estus, get back into the fray.

Stay between his legs, never in front of him. Very time he charges at you just doge towards his legs

I struggled the most with bordt as well, best thing to do is equip light armour and a straight sword. Practice your roll timing for when he rushes you. Always roll directly into him then try and stay underneath him to attack. When you notice him trying to swing at you just circle and try to stay behind him. Also try and make sure you always have enough stamina to roll away! Practice, practice, practice!

Roll under his back legs and get a few swing in and when he moves, move towards him and roll through his attacks. If you're really having that much trouble you could summon the sword master if you killed him outside fire link. Best advice, though, is to roll and hit his back legs. He's weak to dark, so if you found the mimic on the high wall, then you'll be able to do a bit more damage.

1 ReplyConstantly roll under him and hit him when he can't hit you. Better to roll out of the way then die. You can out range his big ice attack but you can also interrupt it for some easy hits on him. Also to avoid mace attacks roll towards them. When he gets pissed and charges he charges three times. Roll all three and then go in for some more taint shots. [spoiler] basically roll a lot and shove your sword up his ass till he dies. You'll eventually have it! If you still can't get it pop an ember before the fight and summon the sword master to help you[/spoiler]

1 ReplyI would say you could summon me, and we beat him with jolly cooperation, but.. Honestly you should try to beat him solo, to get your dodging skills up! I.. Honestly don't remember the fight much, so I couldn't really give you any tips, though.. I remember staying under him worked well for the first phase. Anyhow, with that first part in mind, if you [i]do[/i] want my help, I will definitely not turn you down, assuming you're on Xbox! If you ask for my blade, it is yours. Drop the shield, roll through his swing tp get under him and akways approach while moving clockwise. Make sure to roll through his charge.

3 RepliesYou need to get close and attack. If you didn't catch on to his patterns before try to learn them, once you do his attacks become predictable. If your not trying to be a solo every boss player and just want to enjoy it. Summon the knight and swordsman npc's. You still have to do the majority of the damage but they will keep him distracted at times.

Get underneath him, he can rarely hit you there
