Destiny is dead posts.
These are some of the most ridiculous posts.
Destiny is not dead until you can't find a match in crucible/patrol and the forums are empty.
You think you got any power over what a billion dollar business does with their game? Think again.
The content gap I can almost guarantee is because of disagreements within bungie itself as to where the game should go. The new CEO is a tactic to try and remedy that infighting.
I can also guarantee that destiny will prosper once bungie gets back in the ring.

What makes you think the Division *cough* WATCHDOGS ONLINE *cough* will be any different?
Bungie have produced a solid game. One that glues you to your console for hundreds of hours. It has good pvp and pve. It has a massive following.
Don't pretend like it's crap and its dying just because you didn't get exactly what you wanted. Don't buy into all the salt on the forums. It's a loud unsatisfied minority compared to the silent happy majority.

Other games are never the full reason for killing another game. It's always a matter of the game killing itself. You can't deny bungie has been shooting themselves in the foot lately in terms of pve content. Destiny isn't offering what players want and won't be for the foreseeable future. That's what is turning people away. There are those who are fine with what destiny is right now. That's great destiny will still have players. But for me and other pve players destiny has gone stale. New horizons beckon us and bungie isn't exactly hanging any tempting bait to keep us here. The event system was supposed to draw players back each month with something fresh but so far it's just pvp stuff

Good pve? Are you high? There is nothing to do in pve and pvp is horrible in its current state. This is no solid game it's a sinking ship with no escape if they have any hope of saving it they need to pull people back from destiny 2 and get this one up and running decently

Those games actually have made a dent into playing time with Destiny. Me personally, I haven't played Destiny since Fallout 4 released. I understand that most people still play this game and that's fine. What I'm seeing is how the amount of playing time is dropping off dramatically because the hassle of completing certain challenges just doesn't have worthwhile rewards. Add to the fact there has been a huge content gap that is only going to grow wider and you'll have more people playing less and less. Bungie keeps artificially inflating playing time because they know they don't have enough content. When you try to squeeze a rock with your hands to make it into a diamond you'll only end up with bloody hands and be worse off than when you started.

1 ReplyOf course it's not dead but there is a much smaller player base. You only need to look at your dwindling friends list to see that. Or wait for matchmaking on some year one content that no one plays and find yourself alone. It will always come back stronger when new content comes out. For me I stopped when there was never enough friends online to even do a nightfall. I read the forums from time to time looking for a reason to pick it up again.

Its not dead but compared to last year they lost alot of players just from the bullshit, it takes them months to balance weapons that people complain about on a daily (meaning TLW and Thorn) from year 1
