As far as releasing new content, I understand the bulk of the team is working on "Destiny 2" or its equivalent. Small live events are better than nothing, though I think they should bring back sparrow racing. Even if it wasn't the best, I was still something extra to do.
Which brings us to making Y1 stuff relevant. They could easily bring VoG, CE, and PoE into Y2 with minimum effort. Add a new difficulty at 280 light, and let gear drop at 280-300. Same skins and names, with Y2 perks. Primaries lose the burns, with the exception of the Vex and Necrochasm. Black hammer trades its white nail perk for perfectionist. And before anyone gets on me about loot dropping at 280-300, its so TTK endgame stays the true endgame. You can have Y2 vault armor and crota weapons, but you'll still need to do Kings Fall, Iron Banner, or Trials for 320 gear to infuse it up.
Weapon balancing is probably as close to perfect as its been in the past year. It's not truly perfect, nor do I think it ever will be with a game like this. There will always be that gun that can kill slightly faster or is slightly easier to use. But right now, weapon balancing is not an issue, at least not one near the top of the list.
However, fixing bugs is. There is so much lag, and we know sbmm is the reason. I'm all for some sbmm, but connection has to take priority. Even if Destiny had dedicated servers, I don't want sbmm in every playlist. Just the ones that are meant to be super competitive, like IB and trials. But connection must ALWAYS take priority.

And my bulk of a post gets buried lol

Take a bump and a like, keeping KF relevant while bringing forward Y1 activities. What a thought(that shouldn't have to come from a forum goer)!

I've been saying it for months now. A win win that would take almost no effort from bungie. I have a little hope its coming. There have been some very minor but noticeable ninja patches to CE and PoE, and bungie has hinted a "big game update" in the near future.
