Remember turning bounties and then getting the exotic bounties? And then having the beautiful Ikora lovingly guide you through the whole thing? (: ahhh.
Alright, just know that its cool that you bought it from Xûr or got it from RNG. This post is mainly about year 1 exotic bounties, like you expect me to say "oh thank you RNG for giving me the invective and screw those 'Xûrner'" (such a dumb word, -blam!- you for even using that word) but nah man.

Did it 6 times, dismantled 3 for exotic shards. The only y1 exotic missing in my collection is the 4th horse man.

Easy bounty, thorn vanilla was most fun.

Got 4 of them before I got any other bounty... lucky it was good :)

I earned all the year one weapons through the bounty, Thorn was so easy... Less than ten games WoC, A void shotgun, and a void lmg profit. Guess what also got that Chaperone Bounty done in less than 10 games. Game needs more content like this, I want a challenge, I want a true grind for a awesome weapon, like some of these quest provide.

I grinded the crap outta bounties. First exotic bounty I got was Bad Juju. Kept doing bounties, and I finally got the one for Invective. Turned down Thorn for that gun, and I have no regrets. Invective is amazing

Yep, this was one I would get a lot of just for the shards. It was a good way to use up all the special ammo from the HoW wolves are prowling chests that we all exploited before they were patched.

1 ReplyGot Thorn - Twice. (two characters) Got Invective Twice Got Bad Ju-Ju Twice. Never did get super good advice -- just dropped it from an engram at 310 though. ( I was *terrified* going into crucible bounty - as it was my first cricuble experience) (now - when doing the crucible part for the sword bounty I was more than happy to run around w/my ice-cream cone and tank my k/d... lol

Earning invective, thorn and bad juju was what got me started playing crucible. I may not be particularly good but I still enjoy it. It's a shame those bounties don't exist any more (especially as Invective and Thorn have year two versions, surely quests/bounties would still be relevant for those guns).

3 RepliesYeah, i seen they are giving away the old bounty exotics, that sucks. Why they did not simply continue the bounties is beyond me, and it would have added gameplay for newer players
