What is so great about swords?
I get it, you feel cool. But I'm beating your ass in crucible and you are useless in pretty much any strike except flayers.

Like everything else in destiny they have their place and they have places where they aren't very effective. If you want high sustained crit damage like you want against raid bosses, maybe leave the sword at the house, but they make some of the strike bosses go from heroic to easy mode, and wipe out majors like they are ballerhorn 2.0. I have fun with them in crucible sometimes but I think LMGs are more effective. I don't know why you are complaining about having More weapon types though... If you don't like it don't use it. I don't particularly care for Fusion rifles or Pulse rifles but I'm not going to complain about their existence or that other people enjoy using them, that's kinda weenyish imo.

5 Repliesswords look terrible in destiny especially when u re fighting with pulse or fusion rifle which are futuree weapons... i wish bungie didnt involve thos sword comedy into the game... its right now look like goldeb age frp game... p.s bungie if u need new weapon ideas i am happy to assist u as i afraid that they will ilnvolve spear in next season...

1 ReplySwords are good for Heroics, NF's, Crucible and Raids. May not be good for patrolling as they are a bit overkill.

The ppl are useless, not the sword. Exotic sword has incredible wave clear, high single target damage and a good amount of ammo...what's not to like?

You don't have Raze-Lighter, which is why you don't understand. Pretty sure it's the highest DPS in the game, both sustained and burst.

Ya, being able to block basically all incoming damage and being able to throw myself into the middle of like 20 adds and insta kill them all is completely useless. Nice stats by the way (not).

2 RepliesIn Crucible they're not. Only bolt caster is. For strikes tho, the strikes aren't that hard you can use a sword and be fine for heroic strikes

Those things can block anything, even Supers. I've taken Celestial Nighthawk enhanced Golden Guns to the face with Bolt-Caster and took it like a champ, and Nova Bombs with the same blade as wwll.

If the people in your strikes are useless with swords then they are doing it wrong.

Some of us are trying to get the exotic swords thats the only reason i can think of but honestly i have gotten quite a few kills with it on a good day

As a Hunter with void and sword => tons of orbs when I go for close and personal. Then the flyers but not only. Most captains can be soloed with swords, as it outputs enough to down the shield and go for the kill. It also blocks attacks, even from bosses. Regarding sword, you are conscious that any exo sword had to have kills in crucible? Without the exo extra so just the normal sword. Looks like it worked. If you don't like it fair enough, why the negative about it?
