I've seen this site before. It's really useful, especially since I have a 294 Imago Loop and don't know whether or not it's safe enough to infuse my 300 Treads Upon Stars into it.

Bump this is awesome

Does it make a difference if the item you are dismantling for infusion is fully upgraded or not? It seems to me like it does, but dunno. Haven't "scientifically" tested yet. But I did get 2 light higher than the calculator said yesterday using a fully upgraded 295 helm, infusing into a 280 helm.
-
Not sure why, but my weapon got one light level higher than calculated. I infused a legendary with a blue.

1 Reply..I put a in a 292 infused with 299 and it said 293.... Seems a little off
-
6 RepliesI infused a 300 black spindle with a 307 fusion, it became 306. I then infused the 306 spindle with a 310 spindle, it became 308. Dumb.

1 ReplyDefinitely doesn't work that math is so off. My friend infused a 280 hawk moon from a 300 blue and got 294 the calculator told me 284

This is the ugliest website ever... xD If you want I can send you the html/css to make this look prettier

81 RepliesLOL. Anyone that needs this is a child that doesn't understand basic Math. When you infuse, the weapon you are increasing gets 80% of the difference between what you are dismantling and what you are leveling up. Say you have a 280 weapon and you want to infuse a 285. The difference is 5, which means you'll get +4 on your 280 weapon because 4 is 80% of 5.
Yay for Math (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
I infused an 280 exotic gear with 296 blue gear..it become just 290...it seems no clear formula. I think bungie should give us preview before we execute the infuse. It costing 1 exotic shard. and Xur not selling that shard. It make the exotic shard cost become 13 coin at least (buy armor and dismantling it)

3 RepliesBungie need to either confirm their formula, or change it an make the math out of it. Not everyone is good at math man. I've infused big, an I've infused small. Either way, I always lose light. Makes me mad. I can't ever tell whether I'm gaining light or losing light. What I need confirmed is this.... If 80% comes out to 34.5, since I have to round UP, does this mean I'll gain light? An if I have to ever round DOWN, will I then lose light?
