They imposed the whole year 1 2 thing because this will become standard. A revamped weapon and gear set every year, NO you can't hold onto your gally forever quit being boring.

3 RepliesAll Exotics are getting a year 2 version. Just not all at once. Some armors have new perks like light beyond nemesis having fast revives always without unlocking that perk. Same way the black Suros Regime has two different fire rates to choose from Bungie is working to make these year one Exotics feel new and play differently. Just wait.

In a game that is supposed to have a lot of customization, let's throw away old gear so everyone looks the same. Again.

It'll keep for this version of the game. If they go the separate games route instead of expansions, then you'll see some disappear then. If they keep expansions only, then you'll keep all exotics but some may not stay fully useful.
