Hey,
I'm not able to play destiny for about 2-3 weeks now. Everything works fine till I get to the select char screen. But once I select any character I get a disconnect.
Destiny will throw me the following message: "You have lost connection to Destiny servers. Your permission to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere."
Well the point is, that it's not only destiny. Once I select a character my whole local network disconnects for half a minute. This happens always at the same time. I've tried it more than a dozen of times, so I'm pretty sure it's not random, it has definitely to do with Destiny and it's the only game which is causing this problem. Any other game on the PS4 works fine online. Bf 4 works also fine on a PC as well.
My PS4 is connected via ethernet and the NAT-Type is 2. I'm just annoyed at this point, already searched for different solutions but I couldn't find anybody with the same problem.
Would be great if some Destiny Support Members could help.
Kind regards

This is the solution that worked me. I've heard it doesn't work for everyone, though. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/221200792/0/0

2 RepliesHello SircasticFox! Try this, go to your Network Settings on your Console, and go to MTU. It should be set on Automatic, which is (1500). Set it to manual and type 1397, then try to log into Destiny. Does that work?

5 RepliesEdited by Lime Lyfe: 3/29/2015 4:00:44 PMHey Fox. A help article regarding this issue was recently put up. There are a number of things that could be causing this issue:
- You don't have an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus account, or the subscription has expired - You have signed into another console - You are experiencing Xbox Live or PlayStation Network connection issues - If you have switched your PS4 connection from wired to wireless (or vice versa), confirm your connection settings on your console. For example: if you had previously used wireless to connect the system and you plug in a cable directly, it will continue to use that until you re-run the network setup
Take a look at the article here and give some of the suggestions a try.

Edited by SircasticFox: 3/29/2015 3:59:36 PMI'm getting two different messages: Here is the first. I've searched for Caterpillar and it didn't help at all. I set up port forwarding without any change. I'm not playing in any institutional network, so I just don't get why it's not working. It has worked before.

3 RepliesSame thing has been happening to me for the last few weeks, albeit less severe than your problem. Destiny logs in, checks content, etc. fine then when I select a character it times out & gives me the same message as yours. I then get kicked to the initial 'press x' screen (I'm on PS4) but it always lets me in on the 2nd attempt. I've tried it wired & wireless but the problem persists. There have been a load of times I've just thought, "F this, I'll just play something else". It's very annoying.
