I haven’t played any Bungie on my PS5 since I had to make a new PSN account a while back.
Recently I’ve been playing Marathon on Steam and decided to get it on PlayStation for mobility with my portal.
It wasn’t until I opened the game that I thought, “I don’t think my new PSN is linked to bungie. Let me do that first.”
That’s when I found out Bungie doesn’t allow account unlinking as of about a year ago.
Not to mention, there’s not support from Bungie…. At all. So I figured I’d just refund the PS Marathon copy and settle for desktop sessions.
Turns out that because I started the game up, I can’t refund through PSN.
Bungie, pls unlink the PSN from my account, I would rather keep the game and be able to link my current account than own the game and not really play it since I don’t have cross save with my steam.
Currently down $40 and I’m definitely not rich, so this hurts🥲

1 ReplyHey there, Thank you for reaching out. We’re not able to manually unlink any platform accounts from a Bungie account anymore. Unlinking was removed as a self‑service option and Support can’t bypass that policy, even in individual cases. For more information on this see our page here. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025
