Lost all my Destiny 1 characters and gear on PSN – need help
Hi,
I’m an old Destiny 1 player. I’ve been playing since 2014 and I put hundreds of hours into the game. I played through all the expansions up until Destiny 2 came out, and I had a lot of gear, including many exotic items.
Today I logged back into my PlayStation account, the same one I always used, and I found that everything is gone. My characters are missing, I have no gear, no progression, nothing. The game is asking me to create a new character like I’m starting from scratch.
What confuses me is that when I search for my account on Destiny Tracker, I can still see all my old stats and activity. So my old account clearly existed and the history is still there.
My Bungie account is linked to my PSN account, and as far as I know I’m using the correct PlayStation account, so I really don’t understand what happened.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Is there any way to recover my old characters and save data?
Could this be an account link or sync issue?
I spent a huge amount of time on this account, so I’d really appreciate any help.

Are you trying to play D1 or D2?, because nothing carry over from d1 to D2 except the looks of your characters, and you had to do that loooong time ago

The PS account linked to your profile shows only 1 character from D1, a Warlock, with <90 mins time playing D1: https://wastedondestiny.com/4611686018466986686 If you are attempting to play D1 and expect more characters and time played, you have most likely logged into the wrong PS account. Looking up your username on Destiny Tracker shows your current D2 characters and accurately matches with your time playing D2. Your PS characters are set to active with your Cross Save and should be seen whenever you launch the game on any of your linked accounts. If you don't see the 3 characters your Bungie profile shows on PS, then again, you are logged into a different account. No characters have been deleted on any of your accounts across D1 or D2, and it is not possible for characters to disappear on their own.

Your linked PlayStation account only has about an hour & half played in D1. So it would’ve been on a different account if you played as much as you say you did.
