If you beat him the chest contains a quest to re-grind the same weapons all over again. Until you complete the quest all of your drops will be static rolled better devils.

The scorn in the trailer, and his disappearance, and the fact that Bungie said that they had more surprises coming involving him, AND the fact that the entity behind the darkness designated him as the one to be the herald of the end, all SHOULD point to him being the raid boss in the pyramid ship.... But it's Bungie so, you never really know. They've been awfully radio silent about Calus since saying there's more in store involving him.

1 ReplyHoping it's a worm god or something if I remember right they said in the pyramid in savathun's throne world hides an ancient evil. It would make up for how disappointing the Xol fight was. Worm gods are old af so itd make sense
