Bungie Please fix Trials by stopping the paid carries and repeat flawless runs
Ok Ill start off by saying I am not the greatest PVP player on Earth, but I am decent, maybe good even. I made flawless several times in destiny 1 and have over 70 Trials wins in Destiny 2 with a positive K/D ratio.
I have not been able to get a flawless run yet and its only for one factor: paid carries. They are advertised constantly on the LFG boards. Every time I get a group that gets to 5 or so wins we go against one of the paid teams with literally hundreds of Trials wins. At 5-0 last night we went against a team where one guy had 332 trials wins. Clan of three carrying one non clanmate. Even if it wasn't a paid carry its still a carry. This goes on way too much.
Its an easy fix. Simply let each character participate in Trials until they get flawless that week and then lock them out. Let them run it three times on three characters that's fine but there needs to be some limit.
You could alternatively only match a team that contains a flawless player for that week with other teams that have at least one flawless player. Theres no way only the smallest percentage of people should have any chance of success playing professional players.
Please Bungie correct this. Trials is in such a horrible state right now.

6 RepliesPeople who couldn't go flawless in y1 said the same thing. It's not because people are doing carries that you're failing, it's because you and or your team are the problem. You are an example of why Bungie has watered everything down. Being locked out of content is ridiculous. Get better or find a different team and earn your flawless. Going flawless in D2 is soooooo easy.

Once they do it a handful of times they have enough to copy like 3 games per employee, which is 9 characters per employee. More than enough for their employees to carry people throughout the week. Increase as time-goes on as needed to do it even more times per week You can't do it by IP, because in the US IP addresses get recycled. So if I power-cycle my router, next week another Destiny player might get my IP address. Replace "me" with some random Trials carrier and you see the problem there. You could ban an account once you figure it out. But then, again, they make enough that they can afford multiple copies of the game. Chalk the rare account ban up to a business expense. Restrict them based on going truly flawless and someone will D/C just before the match ends (but everyone is dead) so the "client" goes flawless but the "carriers" lost the match. Or at least a couple of them did (maybe sacrifice an account that week) If there is a demand, someone will find a way to supply

I am gonna get a lot of negative votes I know, makes sense, since there is obviously a good amount of players out there that agree with you, mainly because they are in the same situation than you. Stop asking for bungie to make your challenges easier, if you are not good enough to go flawless accept it, keep practicing and maybe one day you will. Dont ask bungie to remove this good players of your path so you can easily go flawless. There is literally no point in you going flawless except to get the aura and an emblem. Eveything else can be obtain via token or wins. This is the same as people asking for an easier raid, easier nightfall, etc etc etc. There is literally nothing in D2 to do except for trials (PvP) and prestige nightfall and the upcoming prestige raid for "hardcore" players. And I know they are only a small number but this was what made Destiny 1 so special, difficult content. Everything else has been watered down to a point where you can get end game rewards by completing 2 minute activities. This is the main problem with Destiny now, people like you (no offense) have made this game so casual that it is now pointless, and boring.

4 RepliesYes lets lock people out of the only somewhat fun aspect that destiny 2 has left to offer. I would literally not play the game anymore. For some people trials is the only thing keeping us playing d2 at this point. I already have 12 flawless(on the emblem) not counting how many times ive won 7 straight games. Im assuming anywhere from 25-35 at this point. If I got locked out after going flawless 3 times each weekend I literally would be done by friday night. Please god Bungie do not listen to this pleb. I agree that maybe a higher level of SBMM is needed but DO NOT lock people out of trials.

1 ReplyI carry and do account recovs 😃 but in all honesty if you can’t go flawless in this game you just aren’t meant to on your own. It’s levels easier than D1.....

Having said that, I have been posting for yrs that once you go flawless you should be matched with other flawless players.

I agree with you but it wont matter and here are 2 reasons why: 1. Knowing that they get locked out of trials or put in a flawless tier after they get 7-0 these top player will delete the card before they get flawless to "Carry" ppl over and over 2. if not #1 ^ then that's just going to promote account recoveries Sorry but good try

Ok my stats are about the same and the things you called problems aren’t really issues, maybe it could be your team because my team was able to get it with ease and I’m one of the best players on the team with the second being a lil behind and the other 2 much less skilled in comparison to me. It could be a case of poor team shooting and team work which is making it hard for you to go flawless. In my opinion it’s quite easy to go flawless in comparison to D1 Trials.

Dont lock them out. If you go flawless then you get matched with other teams that went flawless. Basically if you are good you go and play against better players. Perhaps going flawless in that playlist would net you an additional reward.

Ive read this whole agrument do you know what i read? Bad players should get good even tho they may have a 1.0 they play 2.2. Players and no chance. We cannot change the system then as 2.2 players would play 2.2 and maybe none of them ever go. Oh no so now they get stomped too but the 1.0 player gets to go once on a while now as he has a chance! Screw that were doing to as it will chance the realtionship between twitch and bungie as no more paying to go flawless lol. Woops i said it there you go thats the nail on the head.....

The people that did carry would just reset their card prior to flawless. Make it so you can't reset? They'd simply win 6, go in with a different group, quit, get a loss, rejoin original group. There is no [b][i][u]easy[/u][/i][/b] solution. Additionally, good friends carrying bad friends is not, in any way, a violation of any rule. The end game is the friends we make remember? (Yeah, makes me cringe too) Don't demand the bar be lowered for you so you can feel special with your participation trophy. You don't always get your way in life. Flawless rewards are statistically [b]IDENTICAL[/b] to rewards from tokens and milestones. There is no actual need to go flawless aside from wanting the, in all honesty, not very meaningful prestige of a fractionally different [b]looking[/b] piece of gear. When you lose all your games, the common denominator is you.

Dont necessarily lock the players out, just put them on a different server. Once you go flawless for the week, you get put into a different server with everyone else who went flawless. So that way everyone who hasnt gone flawless has some type of chance of making it by going against easier players. And people who have gone flawless cant carry others easily because theyll get put on the other server with people who have already been flawless. Easy as that
