Destiny 2 Beta Extended through Tuesday 7/25
The Destiny 2 Open Beta has been extended through Tuesday 7/25 for additional service testing. Expected completion is 6 PM PDT.
Expect service interruptions during more strenuous testing. Download the D2 Beta today before 5 PM Pacific to participate.
We will be doing a lot of testing during the extension like:
- What if we flip this switch?
- What if we unplug this cable that's labeled "Don't unplug this for any reason"?
- What happens if we spill a blue slushie on this important looking thing?
So things might get a little weird. Thanks!

I already miss playing Dawnblade and Voidwalker evolved. Just wish the glide was a bit faster, and movement in general for all classes. #42days

5 RepliesSo a lot of people are complaining about D2 dealing like D1 isn't that how every game series is. Some examples are, Call of duty Legend of Zelda Super Mario bros Super smash bros The elder scrolls series Pokémon Every single game series that has more than one game is just a re skin and a new story with new game modes. Stop complaining just because you don't like destiny. Stop playing if it bothers you.

I was just excited to head back over to destiny 1. I feel like I'm moving in slow motion. The jumps are weird. And supers need to charge way faster. At this point your lucky to get a single super in a crucible game and when u finally do get one it's gone in a flash and does very minimal damage. Hoping for improvements

2 RepliesThanks for confirming what I suspected. Same crap different day. You limited the play time on the beta for what? The least you could have done is run it through several weekends. Tells me the game is going to be a waste of money. If I play it, it will be when it goes on clearance (which is what the game it really worth)!!

I jumped back on D1 and played some Rumble and I figured out what was missing. The Beta, and D2 if it stays this way, is boring as hell. I played D1 Rumble and it was fast paced and fun. Grenades flying. Supers rampaging. Shotguns, snipers, and fusion rifles firing. Players skating, blinking, and dodging.. It was FUN! Don't get me wrong, D1 has its share of problems but jeezus.. Like, what the hell? D2 is like watching paint dry.. You guys have made things more balanced and fair for everyone to play, but you've taken away all the things that made Destiny fun and unique. Plus, if you're going to make cooldowns n shit universal, and make supers more or less irrelevant, why have 3 classes? Why create a system of checks and balances in PvP and unique roles and opportunities in PvE, then almost entirely remove them? Why not just have one class that has the option to do three things? If people wanted a generic action shooter, we'd play CoD. [b][i][u]YOU NEED TO SEPARATE PVP AND PVE![/u][/i][/b] You adjusted PvP pretty well. It works, it's team oriented and not ability heavy. It's not as fun maybe, you removed the checks and balances system that made using different classes to combat others viable, but it works. PvE sucks. It's slow, tedious, and boring as hell.

8 RepliesPlayed the mission, liked them. Played PvP, hated teams of 4! Feels like 2007 again. You should be making matches larger, 12v12, 9v9 and 6v6 would be great. Got server problems? BUY MORE SERVERS, we gave you plenty of cash in the 1st game, invest and expand! <3

3 RepliesHonest feedback? Why'd you change the basic game mechanics? The gun play doesn't feel smooth like it does in D1 and the jumps are so floaty. The ability recharge was increased too much and the subclasses are too watered down. Are we really losing 3 subclasses again just so we can purchase them again in 12 months? That's stupid. PvP is a joke, can't have competitive PvP with no dedicated servers and ranked playlist. Should be expanding playlist options, not shrinking. Really, no custom games at launch? Why even touch PvP if you aren't going to take it seriously? PvE feels better but the mechanic changes take a lot away. This new gun system is boring as hell and even the exotic feels like I'm shooting peas. Original Destiny was better than this tbh this just has better graphics.

1 ReplyThe main thing that doesn't make sense is if this state of the game is months old then why not just give people the current one? Granted if things have been altered then bungie would get feedback on if it was the right decision or not. But at the same time what it was changed to may not work as well and now it won't be found out till the game actually comes out.

5 RepliesGuns feel like water pistols. Supers are too short. Grenades still do toilet damage. Recharge speeds are still disgusting. And the whole business model feels like 2014 all over again. :) Get to work.
