This is an ongoing issue, all reports have 1 thing in common, which is having 5 keys in your inventory and one in the postmaster.
Currently, bungie has only released one article on this subject. In their article it states players may lose the key in their postmaster, but not all the keys. Here is the article: https://www.bungie.net/mobi/en/about/Article?id=45388
Unfortunately, bungie will not replace lost or deleted items or characters for any reason.

Their policy is unacceptable as it does not address this issue. I did not delete the items, it is an issue with the stupid game. I invested hours of my time accumulating the keys for a reason and now Bungie just decides to take them from me. I don't know if you are part of Bungie's response team or just a player, but it is absurd that they can just screw people over like that. They have the capacity to simply replace the items and should do so. I should not have to pay for their crap programming bugs.
