I thought sunsingers dropped orbs as soon as they popped their super like defenders do. I was in a CE raid one day and told this sunsinger to pop his super. He told me nothing would happen but I still persisted. That was when I was still a three hunter scrub so I had absolutely no idea.

They used to pop orbs when they self reserected

I am pretty sure they used to in year 1 before they nerfed the orbs
