Destiny went down hill after The Taken King came out and made past raids and gjallarhorn irrelevant. Who else's PSN, XBOX friends list use to be full of Destiny players? Not anymore....not anymore. RIP 09/15/15

It died 13 months ago

With how fast these forums scroll destiny is far from dead man. Pretty sure a minority actually read the forums, yet the post I just made got buried immediately behind other 1m ago threads

Amen. Started playing csgo, lol, and fallout 4 again. I have also been able to watch many movies without destiny. The game is just boring now

1 ReplyWhoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that Destiny is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is still alive. With all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.
Open up an Eververse booth
-
Didn't you read the memos? It always self-Rez.
-
Yes people still play it. Yes a game can be dead with people still hanging on. There are still people playing halo 3 on Xbox 360. It's still dead. There are people still playing destiny. It's still dead.
-
I'm bored with it until new pve content drops
-
For you maybe. But we'll see ya when the next update drops.
-
It's the 'dead at the moment..but they will come back' rubbish...heres some news NO,they won't.Get it into your thick skulls, its done, this parrot is no longer living,it is an extinct parrot......

1 ReplyIt died for your sins.
-
2 RepliesIt's only dead when people stop caring. As long as people are complaining, it means they still care enough to want the game fixed. It is only dead once people have stopped caring and don't care that the game is broken.
-
3 RepliesConsidering how many still play, I wouldn't say it's dead.
-
My friends list is still full of people on destiny....not saying it hasn't slowed down but it's still alive get over it. I play more Battlefront and other games sometimes then destiny but most my friends are all back n forth between destiny and BO3
-
It's not really dead. There are way too many people on here to make that happen unfortunately.
-
It's just dead at the moment. Once new content comes out, players should be back. It is worrying though, on reset day I only have like 2-5 people on.
-
1 ReplyHey. You have an opinion. Everyone has a different interpretation of dead.

6 RepliesThe fanboys replies are hilarious.
-
4 RepliesThe Division. 5 days.
-
5 RepliesThe fact Bungie sent out mass emails asking why you aren't playing anymore is proof enough destiny is dead.
-
Bro... Rocket League.
-
Fukk Destiny and desticles: )
-
YOU GET A MUTE! AND YOU GET...uhhhh... yeah only you.
-
Same was said a few months after HoW but we're still here talking about this "dead" game. Enough with these lame posts.
-
Well destiny is pretty active when trials is out so isn't really died

6 RepliesPeople didn't leave because old raids & gjallarhorn were made irrelevant. It was they played through and enjoyed the new content, got the new exotics, & beat the raid on hard. We all did everything that was new and moved on to the other games we were interested in. Destiny is not a game that you play everyday or you never play it again. It's a game where you enjoy the new stuff with your friends when new content is released and play other games between content drops. It's a great design because you can always come back whenever you want and TTK showed that when new PvE and story content is released we are going to comeback, why? Because its easy to have fun playing destiny, the gunplay feels great and the content is fun while its new. To say that a game is dead because the player base moved on temporarily is not correct, as long as you have a desire to try new content for the game it will never die.
