Its official Loot from ANYWHERE other than the Raid is pointless
With yesterdays announcement that the Hard Mode will have 310-320 Gear the reality that this game has become one of 2 groups
The PVP'ers and none raiders who get 280-290 ish loot who will be lucky to EVER get to 300 (Because exotics only have a "chance" of dropping at 310 once you reach 300
& Raiders who will soon be reaching 310+ and leaving everyone else in the dust.
as that graph shows the difference of 20 would equate to a delta of 2 AT LEAST!
To be frank the loot levels in anything other than the raid are a joke. Iron Banner which I was looking forward to quickly turned out to be "Oh their 280, oh well at least I won't need to waste my time doing this then...".
We all know that the Nightfall loot is BAD, but my query to this based on what I've seen implies it may have to do with Completing the ENTIRE Taken War story for the Tower, Reef and retrieving the 310 Artefact from Eris after the Raid. (Only THEN do I stop finding 190-205 Green Engram's)

To say the response to this post has been mental, we've had the knee jerk reactors, the sensible and those with reflections to the vanilla destiny so thank you to the later groups who responded in an intelligent manner ^~^
I'm aware power is only important in Iron Banner and Trails but when these occur I don't want people to be at a disadvantage permanently, even if it requires effort it SHOULD be rewarded with something fitting not just a 1% chance of items dropping at 280-300 which you can acquire anywhere...
As a result of the MANY suggestions I put forward a few ideas
# Introduce a quest-line for PVP players to acquire a 310+ ghost and Artefact (To my knowledge these are both locked behind the Raid and both only drop up to 300 in the wild) I think IB, Trails styled items would be sought after
# Sell or at least allow to drop 310+ gear in Iron Banner and Trails (The later I'm aware rewards guaranteed at lighthouse)
The last one is probably the most obvious but it would also guarantee a fare playing field..
# ALL Guardians over 300 deal the same damage to each other, regardless of their level, you would still need to be 290+ to be decent but the Hard mode Raiders won't have any advantage

At least you have to do something challenging to get loot. But yea my buddy got a 310 ghost out of nightfall and if you've done you're shaxx bounties then you get 6 nightfall tier rewards every week so it's still pve but not raids

The issue is for me at least is the fact that there is no endgame progression for pve at least with pvp you have 3 tiers of reg crucible, IB and trials and in HoW trials offered the best weapons of that dlc. Pve has nothing and therefore no reason to really care about pve. It is a real shame to that is why i bought the game.

4 RepliesI would class myself as a raider, BUT right now I dont have decent weapons to tackle the raid... I did get a scout yesterday with Will of Light, Hidden Hand, and Zen Moment (Not Like the Others, similar stats to VoC), so I might use that for the raid. [b]Also slightly on topic, I got a 299 blue helmet to drop while farming Tier one CoO, inspect my Titan if you are interested![/b]

2 RepliesThis is a PvE game why is that so hard for people to understand yea you have to raid to get 300+ gear but then you can infuse it into anything from any faction or vanguard gear or whatever your heart desires stop complaining

In year one, IB was the only way to hit max level for solo players. Now there is no way and solo players are under the curve in IB. But that is the ebb and flow of a constantly changing game.

The only reason I do hard mode is to get an advantage in ToO via light level.

As you may already know with the latest patch the nightfall rewards and weekly crucible bounty rewards can now drop legendary ghost shells along with legendaries at 310

I mostly play PvE but went 9-0 in trials just to do it. Why limit yourself to just one aspect of the game?

I don't like Destiny PvP and would probably stop playing if I had to beat Trials just to get the top gear. I love the Raids and want to use that route to move on. Its not a complicated thought process or business consideration to allow obviously separate customer demographics to advance to an equal standing in both PvE and PvP. There are some players who like both themes within the game, which is great for them, but for those that lean toward one or the other there should be a path to follow. For those of you who believe that your way is best, just pause and reconsider, the financial success of the game relies on both sides of the player base being catered for, even though the PvE is larger generally. At the end of the day this is a business venture and the overiding factor has to be making money, which should incorporate customer satisfaction as per any service industry sector. PS. I thought I read that the new Trials of Osiris gear was going to be comparable to Raid gear? So maybe there is a path for both PvP and PvE.

You don't need any of it to compete in iron banner, trials of Osiris, or to do nightfalls. Nor is there any elemental primaries. So why waste the enormous amount of time for crappy rewards that may or may not even be light level 315+ for infusion purposes, if you even get any at all. Yep. You can flip it the other way just as well.

I'm sure now the Raid loot table is broken!!!I do the Raid 3 times whit my hunter and not a single armor drop!!!!This is creazy realy Bungie do somthing to fix this.
