A salute to all relic holding Hero's.
You know who you are. We're the ones who teleport to Venus, launch 2 void rockets down the stairs, throw a grenade for kicks. Only to turn around and see 2 lvl 28, 29 scrubs standing there screaming like a 6 year old who pissed his pants "I'm not touching the relic". So we pick it up only to be 10 seconds behind on the oracles.
But somehow we get it done, only to comeback through to a mine field on the other side.
So let's all crack open our favorite beverage, and raise our glass to the victories we've provided, at take this Sunday November the 9th as holiday.

I like using the relic, I do pretty well. I also don't mind staying out and keeping the path clear for the team to come out and -blam!- atheon. But as a hunter with my exotic helm that gets me an additional golden gun round I typically smash oracles and laugh at the relic holder trying so hard. I think everyone should start trying the relic in order to get more familiar with it. Especially since we randomly teleport now, everyone is potentially on the hook to need to pick up that relic.

I typically like grabbing it. However, being a 29 on hard I get my ass handed to me to I shy away from it.

I dont touch the relic cuz im one of maybe a few ppl that can take down the Praetorian in 1-2 hits even on Hard. Baller.

In the beginning I wouldn't touch the relic. My controls are different, so the grenade/cleanse is on the opposite bumper. So when I HAD to pick it up for the first time, of course it wasn't working. My team was screaming "Left bumper, the grenade!" And I was like "guys it's not working!" I was scared to pick it up from then on. But then one day, as a level 28 on the normal, I was voted into it by a bunch of 26's and a 27. I was worried. What would happen if I failed? What would they think of me? But then I learned. We rolled up on Mars for our first teleport. I couldn't have been more prepared. I grabbed it and I told them not to throw grenades so they wouldn't trigger the hobgob lockdown. I charged and jumped at the top of the stairs. I immediately saw the red of their snipers preparing to fire. I knew it was the end, I needed to be a little farther up to Hulk smash them with the relic. Right before they fired, -BLINK- I was gone as all 3 beams ripped through the air that once was occupied by my head. I knew I had them, they knew it too. Ghost said all the Vex share one mind. A feeling of panic and fear shot across the Vex mind for a split second, before they saw a glowing shield followed by the glistening shine of a FWC cloak. My team swore they saw the supplicants freeze for a second. All 3 hobgobs exploded out in different directions, defeated. My team cheered while I hustled back to them to cleanse. I realized there is no better way to handle the relic than blink. Slowly jetpacking/gliding doesn't cut it. From then on, it brings me joy to pick up that relic and rain down hell. Except when the preatorian regenerates all his health right as in BARLY kill him and he beats my ass instantly. That's not fun. FIX IT
