I went 2 days without sleep, and believe me when I tell you, it wasn't really worth it. Well, it was for Skyrim, so it was kinda worth it, but in the end, no. It wasn't. It gets freaky. Really. Freaking. Freaky. Like I thought my carpet was soaked through, or I felt like I was walking through jello, or I felt like I was seeing things in 3rd person (if that makes any sense) but ya it's really not all that great

5 RepliesWhen I was in college I almost never slept. I would be pulling multiple all nighters and then sleeping in 10-30 minute intervals throughout the day while in class/at lunch. I would be lucky if I got more than three hours any given night. It caused some horrible side effects however At one point I thought I had become schizo did to the voices and hallucinations that started up. My body was shutting down basically And to this day I hardly recall the time period at all

2 Replies60 hours was my insomnia record. From about 2007-2010 I didn't have a single decent nights sleep courtesy of loud music and screaming matches. From 2010-2012 I was functioning on about 4-5 hours a night because of schoolwork and family drama. Then from 2012 to 2013 I was having a lot of trouble sleeping and from the start of 2013 to mid '13 I was full on insomniac, Unable to sleep and only collapsing from exhaustion every other day. ._. Unpleasant times. Then in August last year I was prescribed some medication with a heavy drowsy side effect (Intended side effect) which has helped me sleep 8 hours a night every night for the last year or so. Me and Sleep are not good friends.

I went a few days once. Don't do that.

It was fun, especially in the mornings when I would have to pretend to be asleep so my grandparents wouldn't get mad at me... Only had a GameCube at the time, so it was really tough...
-
2 Replies1 week, it was part of training. Worst experience ever.
-
Stayed up for five days straight once playing Halo Reach and Skyrim. I could have kept going if my grandpa hadn't dragged me off to church.
I fell asleep during the service.

He was pissed

I was too sleepy to give a shit
I wasn't crazy like some people but I stayed up a whole day playing MW2, Halo 3, and Gears2 it was awesome we had full parties all the time of friends but the best was Halo 3 with custom games. I wish I could go back to those times :(

You feel blurry, mildly nauseated, irritated, moving is physically painful, and you can't focus on anything. I've stayed up for 40ish hours before going to class, moving, and baby sitting.

Never had any need to stay up for days at a time, even in college. Did close two bars and open two more in a night once. That was fun.
-
Longest I've stayed up was like 2 1/2 days during school. Wasn't that hard, because as long as I keep working on something (in my case it was finishing sketches for art) then I'm good to go. I occasionally have to fake sleep if I hear my mom or dad coming. They would kill me if they seen me up late trying to finish assignments. However, I've tried reading laaate at night before, and it doesn't go well if it's a boring book you have to read for a project.

The longest I've stayed up for, is 48 hours.

Never done one, never wanted to. I'm terrible in the mornings as is, I don't need to deprive myself of sleep anymore than necessary.

1 ReplyGreat. Them I woke up at four pm and was depressed because most of the day was gone and I missed two meals which was unhealthy.

Edited by CND AAA Beef: 8/8/2014 12:06:47 AMNot fun. I remember one really major group project all nighter back in college. We had been spending pretty much all week on the thing already, and we were putting in a full day to get our report ready for submission the next morning. We spent hours and hours of cutting and rewriting our parts to get down to the page limit. We nearly lost our master copy when one guy's MacBook started overheating and locked up. And by the time we were done, it was 4:30 AM. Not all that "late" compared to some other people here, but damn it was stressful. And then we realized we forgot to attach one of our appendices to the file the next morning... Then there was the other night I stayed up till 6 playing KOTOR.

4 RepliesThanks to this thread, I feel like pulling an all-nighter now.
-
Great! Then awful!

1 ReplyEdited by asir: 8/7/2014 7:12:13 PMEvery weekend when I play Dungeons & Dragons with my friends. We subsist on pizza and energy drinks. There's one girl that goes to bed at a reasonable time (she takes the couch at 2:30 AM,) but the rest of us party till noon.

A few times. Nothing major though. I haven't stayed up long enough that I pass out.
-
The most I've ever stayed up was 32 hours. After that I'm just dead. I hate staying up for a whole day. It's like a bad hang over.
-
10 RepliesLongest I've stayed up: 4 days. Would have been longer except I read a book and blacked out. :/
-
It was like staying up all night.
-
I have stayed awake for 3 days straight. The shit I saw was scarier than any nightmare or movie I ever saw. When I still went to college.

Just one. It drains the energy out of you. Without sleep I'm a zombie.
