Double vesper drops means nothing if I keep getting armor
I've been off and on on grinding the second encounter for a good auto and I already get more armor than anything else. This week felt like a good week for it since its double drops. All im getting is a fusion I never wanted in the first place and armor out the WAZZOO I had multiple runs where 2 helmets were the only thing that drops. Why cant the armor just be tied to a one and done quest, its not like I can focus high stat armor with the echo seasonal engrams and transmog them later.

Edit : By the way a few weeks ago on single drops I had around 7/10 runs drop weapons for comparison now every 1 in 4 drops weapons I actually got less weapons than with single drops. They did this on purpose for first encounter, my teammates also mainly got armor even more than me.

“We hear you. We’re going to make armor more meaningful in Frontiers.” For real tho. I am playing for the weapons. But they have diluted the loot pool with trash rolled armor. I am looking for one or two rolls on these weapons. The odds that I get what I am pursuing are ridiculously low. 1/36 chance, and that’s if I even get that weapon to drop. So I’m deleting everything that drops. And I’m getting more frustrated than anything. I understand they want people to grind the game. But it’s burning me out because it is so unrewarding and now I don’t want to play at all. Like come on man. Let me specify what I do and don’t want in my loot pool. Make me pick at least 2 things in an encounter that has 6 pieces of loot. That’s fine. But it’s been a decade and I still have to rely on an unrewarding, disrespectful RNG reward system. It feels terrible.

Yeah. Not even double drops with a boss cheese gets me interested in doing this tedious designed mess.

6 RepliesThe way loot is handled in dungeons is a big reason why I just gave up on grinding for even 2/5 rolls on dungeon guns. You have a 16.7% chance of getting the auto at all and then a 2.8% chance of getting the roll you want. God help you if you want specific barrels/mags/masterworks. This is not fun, I'm not encouraged to keep playing to chase the roll. I'm encouraged to give up and find something else to do.

5 RepliesNot sure if it’s just me but first encounter I’ve gotten just legs and gauntlets the last 5-6 clears, think it’s bugged for me. Then for final boss I’ve gotten a ton of the Heavy GLs but it’s not in the loot pool for that encounter?? I haven’t gotten one energy GL that makes the pools and I’ve done boss like 5-6 times already, utterly insane.

I always got guns in Vespers, 80-90% of drops If I (and I haven’t yet) start farming it now, and mainly get double armor drops that’d be a tell to me that Bungie did this intentionally. I do hope it’s just RNG. I do hope that, and I hope you’re just unlucky for everyones sake. No offense.
