Again, it depends on the players on your team and who you're playing against. For example, If you're running a stack team vs a stack team your kd probably won't get past a 4.0kd. On Burning Shine me, wire, and strykering were playing on Friday wrecking 2300+ (2-3 cards) when I was first and second for kills for majority of the games. Furthermore, an example of this was in one match where we won 5-4 while I had a 1.6kd, strykering .8kd, wire .33kd. Both of them have higher elo ratings than me, but we played a stack team 2200-2300 average. It is mainly about teamwork and team shots than getting 4.0kd against those teams. Luminosity, KJ, Camp, Frostbolt another name of heard, have had bad games before while having their elo rating pretty high. That is why some players show their respect after beating them while they are doing double carriers. Players do this because they know if those guys ran stacked it would a harder challenge to get the win. I have heard the showing respect part when one of my players beat lum on firebase by the way. More importantly, I was helping people get flawless. As a matter of fact, you ran away when I got one my stack teams. We were ready and you were a no show.
