Hum... Bladedancer's can spec into backstab for a 1 hit melee too... Sunsingers and defenders get a shield from their melee, which can absorb about the damage of a regular melee attack. Gunslingers and stormtrance both have melee abilities that can be used at considerable range. Seems fine to me.

  • Not saying anything needs a change but a sunsingers with its melee oversheild will still only be 2 hits to kill it really only helps against bullets

  • This is how the overshield works. 2 scenarios in melee aspects. I run in against a warlock. I hit him first. This means I'm probably going to win, he Melees me... now he has an overshield. I melee again, he's almost dead, he Melees me... I'm dead. I run in against a warlock. He Melees me, gets overshield. I melee him. He loses overshield. He Melees me, I'm dead

  • Only because there is a .8 second delay, giving you a chance to still kill. I haven't tested much but I never saw in the notes it say the overshield itself was nerfed.

  • Are you sure? I'm fairly certain just last night I survived a melee with my flame shield. I could be wrong. I still enjoy the shield, although it was nerfed back in April I think?

  • All of what you described takes a melee charge to use. Titan's 1hit doesn't. Doesn't seem fine to me.

  • You seem much more invested in this argument. If they have to sprint at you it DOES impact the play style and how they approach using the SC, I'm not saying it's not favorable in certain situations. But everyone whining about nerfing things is really making the game stagnant.

    Btw people can look you up and see your Titan has 20% more melee kills than your 2nd highest kill method. You think that makes sense and isn't broken man? Forget balance and just yolo ham fist the game and pretend you care about balance, not about protecting your garbage crutch.

  • Okay...? Do you know how easy it is to get melee kills? That's not a broken mechanic, it's literally one of your most powerful tools. An enemy is close? punch them. Someone punched you? Punched them. Your shotgun didn't kill them? Punch them. "You have so many melee kills!" No shit, it's literally A mechanic of the game, just as halo was. The golden there are "guns grenades and melee"

  • The only class that has more melee kills than anything else is people who use striker Titans. Look a bunch up in this thread, you'll see it. The difference between you and honest people is honest people know they're abusing SC, you're pretending there's nothing wrong with it. There's obviously a problem when you, for most of your play time, could do the same thing you're doing without any guns equipped. It's a first person shooter not a first person button masher.

  • Please go read the flavor text for the striker class. Let me know what it says. Classes are meant to have distinct qualities, maybe the strikers might have something to do with melee attacks..?

    K. So blade dancers should be invisible after running briefly, not after crouching. Maybe void walkers should phase in and out while running, kind of like a blink or shadowstep. Oh. Wait. The flavor text doesn't actually hold weight in crucible balance. Awkward. Besides, not like the melee that actually uses charges does not only the most damage but also has the most perks related to it out of any class right? No worries though, your crutch is definitely on its way out. Goodluck with that.

  • You are just hellbent on complaining about something huh? If you enjoy stats so much, you might want to check out how I do not play Titan nearly as much as my other two classes. I'm not trying to argue with you, I don't give a shit what happens as I have no vested interest in this game at the moment, but that being said there are plenty of ways to counter a SC.

  • You could stop replying whenever you feel like? If you notice I've been quite friendly to everyone who approached the topic, you were the one being snarky, stranger. I think things are fine right now. Shoulder charge is not a problem, not to me, and clearly not to a lot of people. When you say they have no basis in truth, I'm not sure what you mean? Me saying that, the subclass is based around melee, as indicated by its exotics, it's flavor text, and many of its talents, it's pretty clearly meant to be a class with an inclination towards melee attacks. I don't understand why that is such an issue.

  • Just checked! They do have the ability "transfusion" which heals them with a charged melee kill or shoulder charge

  • I think if you are hurt while the healing occurs it stops, like if you take damage while the Red Death is trying to heal you, it stops I think at wherever the bar was when you took the hit.
