-THIS NEEDS TO BE BUMPED, STICKED AND TRENDING!!-
So, i just read the Books of Sorrow, three Krill (original race, pre-Hive) one named Aurash, another named Xi Ro and a third called Sathona, all are female as written in these grimoire cards, children of the Osmium Throne
Their homeworld is The Fundament, they've set to delve into the Deep (core of the planet) to find some sort of secret power that would help them get revenge and regain their rightful place, after Taox (said Teacher to them at the time) plotted to have the Helium Court kill the kings heirs (which failed BUT the King being assassinated), thus after having found the Needle, a ship, found in the Shvubi Maelstrom, along past layers of the core they would come across an entity called the Leviathan that would guard it (The Deep), in this core are trapped the Worms Xol, Eir, Ur and Akka
Aurash, Sathona and Xi Ro all ingest a worm. Each gaining a new name for their adulthood, Aurash becoming Auryx and undergoes a transformation called King Morph.
Together they would slowly become more powerful, killing other species to feed the hunger of the worms (given to them by the Ahamkara) thus making them stronger in exchange but making the Worms grow more hungry.
-Auryx, later then known as no one else but Oryx, The Taken King (in other words btw, Oryx is a female lol...)
Edit: HOLY SHIT !!
http://www.halopedia.org/Ecumene
http://db.destinytracker.com/grimoire/enemies/books-of-sorrow/xxix-carved-in-ruin
LOOK AT THAT LITTLE HALO/DESTINY UNIVERSE CROSSOVER (could be IF these Ecumene in the Destiny lore is the same beings as in Halo, because in Halo the Ecumene are basically the Forerunners)
Edit #2: getting pretty tired of people saying "hurr Oryx isn't a girl", well ffs yes IT was a SHE back when IT was two years old at the beginning of this story depicted in these grimoire cards.
I'm also tired of all these " derp da Ahamkara are dragonnzzz hurrrr" so far we've not seen what they look like other than bones, but these worms sure asf speak like Ahamkara, have god like powers like Ahamkara, can even speak/influence even AFTER death like Ahamkara and also are deceitful beings.. Promising power in return for some sated appetites. So far, what's written here quite weights in the direction that: yes they could pretty much be these beings we call Ahamkara

Bump. So intrigued by this.. just wow.

5 RepliesI was wondering what happened to the Forerunner / JJaro in this timeline, thanks Demonoid. I honestly never expected so many hints at the "tru7h" in a single retail release, let alone an expansion pack. A lot for me to pour over, because i'm more certain than ever that I only have a piece of the tru7h, and not the whole thing.

2 RepliesEdited by OverseerCashern: 9/17/2015 9:33:00 AMI don't think I had enough fragments to get that the Ahamkara were the worms (or infested by then?), which makes one realize that they came to infest us after the collapse using much the same methods they did on the Krill, and we rejected them, though really the hive are just another means to that end. I wonder if they succeeded in infesting the Fallen, hence why the Traveller abandoned them. At least that's a better reason than the Traveller just high tailing it out of trouble and ditching them. Anyone else get the Cabal vibes off of the Ammonite?

5 RepliesA female can't exactly be called a King. That's not really how those kind of things work.
-
3 RepliesThen why wouldn't it be named THE TAKEN QUEEN. Or QUEENS FALL?
-
2 RepliesMormu, Xol spawn. That's a wizard somewhere in a strike or mission we kill? Anyways Xol spawn hmm
-
Wut...
-
I read it all! Holly shit.
-
2 RepliesI was reading them and trying to figure them out. I think the fundament is either our dimension, or the dimension oryx takes the taken to. Not sure. Also, the leviathan? Is that the traveler??? I'm only working with 8 chapters so I'm not too sure.
-
3 RepliesIs the leviathan the traveler?
-
9 RepliesSo basically, none of the enemies we are fighting now are part of the Darkness? The hive were just corrupted by Worms/Ahamkara? I wonder what the Darkness actually is then.
-
4 RepliesSo what I got from this is that oryx is transgender?
-
6 RepliesTaox is SO gonna be a part of the next game
-
1 ReplyF**k, I swear the lore in this game is so fascinating. I wish Bungie would get off their butts and get people on doing some books or something.
-
2 RepliesEdited by steg567: 9/17/2015 12:19:05 PMPretty interesting theory only one problem worms =/= ahamkara
-
This is really cool...
-
So oryx is a chick with a dic k?

2 RepliesEdited by Wired Opposites: 9/17/2015 2:24:08 AMDon't you wish bungie would've at least tried to make some cutscenes in regards to this? For me, verse 5:1 would've been absolutely amazing to witness.

Oryx: "Croata, I am your.. MOTHER!!" XD
-
1 ReplyThis is just amazing. However wrote this... I salute you.
-
Oryx is a ladyboy

Edited by GRIEVER: 9/17/2015 10:37:49 AMIt's spelt "Wyrms" as in Dragons. Edit: in the grimoire cards they are spelt "worms" maybe it's a reference to Wyrms as Ahamkara are dragon like beings. Interesting!

2 RepliesI don't understand why people are so taken aback by the gender of Oryx or the King/God dynamic between Oryx and Crota. In a strict sense of understanding sci-fi and fantasy you must accept that our real and human definitions of things are imperfect to explain things that can't be explained by them. In other words from a in game perspective... everything is unexplainable with your current laws and thus new laws must be created. From a real life perspective.. Some of you guys are daft as -blam!-. It's impossible to travel faster than light yet baddies are doing it all the time. No one bats an eye. But say that Oryx is a king and Crota is a God and people's brains go into "does not compute" mode. Expand your minds guys. This is a fictional story, embrace the oddities of it.

6 RepliesXol, Eir, and Ur sound a lot like Xur. Is Xur a Worm?
-
4 RepliesWhy would the worms be ahamkara
