I'm curious.

Most people don't have the balls to read anymore.
-
Only if someone else wrote it.
-
Read, yes... Pay, no

The Guardian mowed down hordes of enemies as he waited for his surprisingly inept talking robot to open a door. The -blam!-ing end.

Signed.

Yes. Anything that put more context to those Grimore Cards and game-play.
-
1 ReplyI feel like I've read an entire novel's worth of Grimoire already. I'd be up for anything that can give the Grimoire more context.

Would be a repetitive story. Chapter 1. The guardian moved to the next area and had to guard his ghost so it could open a door. Then the guardian was attacked. After he cleared away 3 waves of enemies the door was unlocked and he pressed forward. Now the guardian stands in front of an enemy. Just like the others he faced just slightly larger. After shooting it in the face 100 times with a sniper it died and left 200 glimmer. Chapter 2. And so on

4 RepliesEdited by FabledGuardian: 6/23/2015 8:01:52 AMHere's the real question, if I wrote a Destiny book and posted a chapter every now and then would you read it? Sign if you would. So far three people are in, anyone else?
-
A Destiny book would be a 4 page pop up book with no words.
-
2 RepliesEdited by boogeyman333: 6/23/2015 4:40:27 AMI would read one of the lore/history ones. Not to be mean but the story missions don't have much. Here's a list of stuff I would like to see How Mara Sov became the Queen and established reef civilization What happened right after the collapse probably a post-apocalyptic scenario ^ l (Probably connected) v How the Titans established the walls, fronts and twilight gap battle The hunters like Dredgen Yor, Shin malphur and the hunters affiliated with that story. A look into fallen political system and their conflict.

In game story: NO Grimoire: Yeah!

If it was the original storyline, maybe
-
Oh hell yes. I can think of a few authors id like to see dabble in this world...

9 RepliesIf the books were in-game, sure!

Grimory cards
-
anyone else ever read a lemony snicket book? remember in the reptile room when he filled two pages with the word ever?
-
It would be a book thicker than a dictionary, but more than half of the pages blank.
-
Well considering we would only get every other page with the first addition and have to purchase the missing pages in 2 separate expanaion. I would have to say probably not lol.
-
Signed would be great

Since Bungie's idea of a "10 year plan" seems to be that they shouldn't bother with major story beats or backstory reveals for probably several years, any novel would have to come out around year 7-8. Anything before that would just be like "I could tell you how the awoken formed as a faction in the reef, I could tell you what the Exos are, I could tell you about the European dead zone... But I won't. The end." Dear Bungie, a good long term plan for narrative would be a series of stories and new developments in a dynamic universe that changes over time - all springing from a story that was rich and compelling at the start. The Destiny approach of coming up with a simple story and not telling anyone what that story is during the first year is a terrible idea. It would be like if GRR martin wrote the first Game of Thrones book where nothing happened at all and the reader wasn't told anything. A sequel would not have existed or sold because nobody would care. :P
