Warlocks... the slowest class?
Is it just me, or are warlocks just so slow at everything they do. Their melee base speed, class ability speed, jump speed...
It takes ages for me to put down my rift and for the shield to go up. My burst glide boosts me up, but I’m still in the air? [i] I want to get down![/i] and my melee... oof, my melee is nonexistent...

I was playing Elimination yesterday, a warlock was way faster than my Titan. It looked like he was on the buffed solar warlock and had a sword.

You can cancel the jump mid air and go back down. Admittedly the melee is slow for no reason.

Only problem I have is our melee being slower than hunters and titans,everything else is good

1 ReplyOn foot, they are the slowest. But they can become one of the fastest in the air: burst glide, blink, Icarus dash, warlock surfing, sword surfing. Part of the uproar about the changes to swords is that warlocks—in combination with the teleporting exotic sword used to augment warlock surfing and sword surfing—-are the games fastest class for speed runners.

Bring back original Burst Glide!!! This has single handedly made me not even want to do anything on my once Loved Lok. Feels Bad.

Ironically, as many have said, top tree dawn with transverse would probably compete for the fastest in the game. The rest of the warlock subclasses though? Turtle mode.

I have a max mobility build with transversive steps and top tree dawnblade. Don’t make this an argument lmao

I think on console it is very slow. On PC it appears to be very fast as the whole control scheme is different. I have played mostly warlock and I think it is good in PvE but MEH in PvP

Transversives with 100 mobility and a Mountaintop is how I've been receiving most of my hatemail recently. Also knowing how to Warlock hop really gets you into the fray faster.

Without Transversive Steps I can't stand the movement on my warlock. (No one bother mentioning blink to me either because it has 4 different penalties) Astrocyte verse makes a bad ability good but not a good ability great.

On paper we do seem to have the worst jump but once you learn to skate you never want to play any other class again! I highly recommend learning how to glide skate and by extension sword skate (although sword skating may not be possible after the sword changes next season)

Base abilities and movement ... yeah it’s pretty slow. However blink locks are pretty dam fast, and top tree dawnblade is also fast. But those are the outliers

To everyone mentioning top tree Dawn and skating: That is what's called an outlier. If you look at [i]base[/i] speeds, that's what OP is referring to.
