WHY DOES ERIS HAVE THREE EYES?!?!
Alright guys so my friend just can't get over the fact that ERIS has three eyes and there is no good explanation for it! Eye told him she is probably wearing Mask of the Third Man, but he said NOPE she is a Titan so that's not happening! So if you guys could help me out with an awesome explanation so I can impress/shut him up that would be fantastic! :D

7 RepliesI think I read somewhere that she had her eyes taken while she was on the moon. So when she started to use the darkness, I imagine she used that to replace them. But she's also trying to redeem herself for failing to take down omnigul and crota, so she hides it behind a small veil. As for the the whole hunter/warlock thing. I think shes a warlock, ikora spoke up for her when she returned and also eris is a part of ikoras group the hidden.

1 ReplyAfter everyone in her fireteam died, she had to hide in the dark to study crota and his minions. After years of spending time in the darkness, she lost her eyesight so she killed a hive knight, pulled its 3 eyeballs out, and replaced her eyes with them. She realize that she could only have two eyeballs because she is a human after all. She took her throwing knife and cut a piece of her forehead off and placed the 3rd hive eyeball in. If you look at her, she is still bleeding from the traumatic event she caused upon herself. Dumb hunter.

Eris is a hunter your friend can blam himself in the buttox. She has a 3rd because they explain how she hides in the raid for months, eventually taking on aspects of hive (raid thralls have 3 green eyes made for seeing in the dark) to get out alive. In the process she does indeed lose her light though.

I believe that I read in a Grimoire card that the hive stole her light and cursed her with the mark of the hive, which includes the signature third eye.

When I was getting bounties the other day, she said something about them stealing her light, so she stole their eyes... Can't remember exactly what she said... I guess I'll pay better attention now, being that Bungie won't actually tell us or give us a story...
