I play a lot with my buddy who's a titan. He often complains he can't shoot out of his bubble. I explain to him that it's a defensive build and also I think if titans could shoot through it, that would be a bit unbalanced. What does the community think? Vote!
Edit: I'm fairly surprised to see how many people think this should be allowed. Currently 44% voted yes.
Edit 2: I have the utmost respect for you defender Titans who can admit this would be a bad idea instead of blindly playing like a hotdog and wanting to just destroy everything easily in this game.

1 ReplyOn halo; do you geto shoot through your own bubbleshield?
-
I don't think a "No" quite covers it. More like a HELL NO. This is coming from a guy with 2x 29 titans...
-
4 RepliesAs a Titan Defender main I say no. The bible is either for protection or to set up a buff. Shooting through would be so op that it would get nerfed substantially.
-
1 ReplyEdited by PazerLazer: 11/3/2014 5:57:58 PMAs a Titan it took a great deal of will power to say No. Then I realized that we should be able to punch our bubble at people, Titans shouldn't be shooting anyways.
-
I think they should but with a catch, it either takes up a good spot in the tree or the gun damage they do is reduced by 50% inside the bubble
-
yes, but it would need a servere time and health nerf i was thinking of making this same thread but never did
-
1 ReplyI'm a 30 titan and i say no. I like it the way it is.
-
2 Replies"Because I should totally be allowed to cover an entire control zone and be able to shoot at others, while not being shot at. And if someone wants to try and stop me from taking the control zone, they need to come inside where I have the advantage of an extra shield and you will probably also be blinded." Yeah, that's totally not OP in the slightest.

16 RepliesProblem with the "defensive build" argument is that being "trapped" inside your own bubble severely limits your ability to defend anything unless your opponents are stupid enough to just walk in there. I'm willing to accept a reasonable damage penalty to my shots to keep it from being OP, but it's a little ridiculous that it's just as much a hindrance to my team as it is to my enemies. And don't even get me started on how worthless it is in PvP.
-
1 ReplyIn PVP absolutely not, however I do see some reasons for complaints in PVE with it. I mean even with it up what good does it do you if Knights and other powerful enemies like MInotaurs can just waltz right into it and still punch you in the face? I think if anything an ability needs to be added to it to make it like the hex shield the Geth Juggernaut had in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, basically any enemy going through the shield gets hit with an electrical type damage over time that slows them down/stuns them.
-
It'd be more than a bit unbalanced.
-
I play as a hunter and I think they should be able to.
-
What's wrong with it as is?!
-
1 ReplyYeah coming from a Lvl 29 Titan, this would be so OP. Completely imbalance the game.
-
With weapons of light added Op extreme
-
Hell no, it'll be to OP
-
4 RepliesI'm sorry, what? Shoot through my WoD? Are you serious? That would make every challenge a joke. I could sit in there with Weapons of Light and laugh my way through boss fights. Or equip the defensive perk and one man capture any control point in PvP. And would that allow team mates to shoot through it as well? Then you'd just laugh your way through the whole game/strike/raid. Imagine having someone pop WoD with weapons of light equipped. Then you get all your Hunter and Warlock buddies to use there ranged supers from inside.. Golden Gun And Sunsinger active, while having a weapon damage buff and being impervious to harm. Gee, I wonder why you can't shoot out of it... I'm sorry, but your friend sounds like an entitled 14yo cry baby scrub.
-
6 RepliesAll you would have to do is make it a shell that takes a certain amount of damage and breaks, war frame has a similar ability that Frost uses, and it's not OP because it can be destroyed, the amount of damage the shield can take would have to be tuned though
-
7 RepliesNOOOO, they're nearly invincible inside their bubble, no buff required. I see Titans are the only guys voting yes.
-
4 RepliesBlessing of light man...you win any long range 1v1 with the shield...
-
In PvE that would be great in PvP however that would be God mode maybe a slight DoT to whoever enters the bubble
-
As a defender titan main I voted no. I'm already op inside the bubble, adding the ability to shoot through it would make it the best pvp super in the game hands down.
-
If you position yourself correctly you can shoot from inside the bubble. The end gun barrel HAS to be outside the bubble and the rest of you in, but it can be done.
-
As long as you can put a big hole in the top so I can lob a grenade in. Then I say fire away.
-
I said yes because one rocket is all you need to destroy it so they dont last very long

Edited by tex79: 11/3/2014 5:08:47 PMI think it's worthless in pvp when I see one with enemies in I run up and throw my grenade inside the enemy gets confused because they think their safe but don't realize the thing killing them is inside the bubble with them. Got 4 killc with one grenade that way
