Should titans be able to shoot through their own bubble?
I play a lot with my buddy who's a titan. He often complains he can't shoot out of his bubble. I explain to him that it's a defensive build and also I think if titans could shoot through it, that would be a bit unbalanced. What does the community think? Vote!
Edit: I'm fairly surprised to see how many people think this should be allowed. Currently 44% voted yes.
Edit 2: I have the utmost respect for you defender Titans who can admit this would be a bad idea instead of blindly playing like a hotdog and wanting to just destroy everything easily in this game.

If people could shoot out then I think people should be able to shoot in, but oh wait that's the whole point of the bubble so people can't shoot you when you're inside. So rather pointless and OP to allow it to work like the relic bubble in the raid.

Let me start by saying I'm all about fair play but I can see how this would be an arguable benefit in pve. In PvP (not my strong suit but I still play it) I think is presents a good tactic to keep the shield impenetrable from both sides. Technologically it's more sound and it prevents people from just camping out in a shell waiting for players to swing by. Think about it this way: six titans on one team could keep a force bubble up the entire game, and if one titan on a team can shoot through it, it only makes sense that his allies would be able to do the same. It doesn't make for very sporty gameplay.

3 RepliesOP, I think you should make another poll or add the suggestion "enable shooting through shield in PVE only" "enable shooting through shield in both PvE and PvP" because having a main Titan I have to admit that would be ridiculously OP on PvP, but I would love it if my fireteam could through it in PvE. Honestly, I think that's pretty much every Titan in here. And what if? What if? In PvE only, shooting through it gave your weapon fire void damage? Then to balance it, you'd have a much shorter timer.

Yes. This is coming from a WARLOCK, too. Ward of Dawn is too easily defeated by other supers, and cannot counter them. This allows for counter play, and improves the role titans are supposed to play when playing Defender. To make it fair, make the bubble have HP before it goes down. Somewhat like 500 HP.

I play mainly as a defender titan, and think it's a superb idea, but I would say no. I think it would break the game, especially how you can boost your attack or defense.

For PvE, yes. It makes since that one should be able to shoot through the bubble at enemies. For PvP, no. It would be an "unfair" advantage if they had a bubble of protection that they could shoot opposing players from, whilst those players are not able to penetrate the bubble with return fire.

No, that would make the Titan a freakin' monster. I have nothing against Titans, is just that this would make it very OP. Can you imagine having to deal with a Titan with bubble shield guarding a capture point?

I think they should I mean, every other sub class has an effective role and actually does something, Void walker insta kills anything they use their nova bomb on and it destroys the bubble shield, hunter arc blade insta kills they can push you out of the bubble no matter the shield buff and is quick, hunters golden gun insta kills and can take down the bubble in two shots, titans striker can run straight into the bubble with fist of havoc and insta kill everyone inside, while even if it missed ( outside of the bubble ) it will still take out the bubble

Jesus, must be a lot of Titans replying to this one. I can do it too: Should Hunters be invincible while their Arc Blade is activated? Should Gunslingers be able to fire Golden Gun nonstop until the timer runs out? Think people, before you answer these polls...

Coming from a defender titan I think that would be a horrible thing to happen. Imagine me sitting there with a fully loaded zombie apocalypse in a central area of a crucible map with clear line of sights. For 30 seconds I would be a god. I've been saying for awhile now that the best way to beef it up without destroying balance would be to not allow enemies to enter the bubble at all. Also supers would destroy the bubble immediately and drop shields of all inside. Not sure how blade dancers would factor into that mess

6 RepliesI clicked yes but i meant no. It's a support class with a defensive nature. It they want to kill more people with their special them let 'em pick striker. As if the shield doesn't kill enough people.

I play my Titan a lot and really enjoy the class. That being said, it would be extremely OP if you could shoot through the bubble. If you want a more offensive Titan, use Striker. The only time I could understand shooting through the bubble is if there were negative repercussions, like the bubble diminishes faster the more you shoot through it.
