I don't know economics, that's why I'm taking a class on it next year in school. You know, so when I talk about it, I don't sound like an ignorant idiot. And a B in Econ Theory and and A in Macro Econ doesn't make you a genius in the subject, for the record.

What's even more funny is after I destroy most of the moronic posts on this site...

I know for a fact that I'm smarter than you in regards to most, if not all subjects...

I am a freshman engineering major with a 3.2 GPA that has earned a B in Econ theory and an A in macro economics. It's mandatory in mine, and i quite enjoyed the class, can't say the same for my classmates though.

Lol this guy again.

"if people understand the field of economics people will be able to analyse the market and form educated and rational spending decisions" Being a responsible spender doesn't require you to know everything about economics. It just requires some -blam!-ing common sense, something people lack these days.

20 RepliesHahahahahahaa!! Crimson, one of the people completely bashing the Xbox One, saying that others do not understand economics. Such an ironic thread. You do not know shit about economics, Crimson. Microsoft is actually being smart, and trying to help the entire gaming industry, by stopping a billion dollar used game industry that is quickly killing developers and publishers.

And neither do you. I've seen your posts.

3 RepliesThen what is your oh so educated self doing on an internet forum?

Economics was mandatory for all seniors when I was in High School. However, once I graduated I quickly forgot about most of the stuff that didn't equate to "YOU'RE FINANCIALLY F***ED IF YOU DO X".
-
Oh boy, freshman year must be treating you well.
-
I am not interested in economics.

I'm an economics student graduating within the next year and its understandable to come across people who aren't as informed or educated on economic principles and such. Since not everybody takes economics classes it's easy to imagine that people come up with their own way of thinking about things and doing things. Just think, nobody goes into their first economics class with a clean slate. So can you say that you were as economically sound before as you are now. Of course this can be helped with mandatory economics classes like you said, but you can't hold it against people who haven't learned that. It would be like a doctor getting mad at you for not knowing a basic medical principle, granted economics is something everybody should know about, but people don't know that.

As someone who is in college
So that means you know everything, right? Dude, you have a long way to go if this is how you plan on going through life. I would even venture to say that you aren't even in university yet. No college fellow I know would talk like this, it just sounds ignorant and naive.

4 RepliesEdited by Quantum: 6/14/2013 7:07:01 AMI TOOK TWO WHOLE LECTURES IN HIGH SCHOOL AND I THINK I KNOW MORE THAN PEOPLE. Stop. You don't argue economics by saying "you don't understand economics". Discussions involving economics usually have lots of content to sift through. Using authority, amount of perceived knowledge in the subject or the amount of confidence you have in your findings is a terrible way to argue. Rather, any good poster would ideally base it on their argument.

Yeah, no... Your ego is showing again, Crimson.

No I don't; I study maths and science, not economics.
