trials is the worst time in any competitive PvP experience for D2. how is it that I can run into everyone and their mom who has gone flawless when my team and I go to play. there is no enjoyment in playing trials at all, you go in and run into the sweatiest team imaginable, Im a barely above-average player, Im not expecting to go flawless or anything remotely close, I just wanna grind and get some engrams, but we hope in and time after time its someone who is top 7, 5, 3% in trials, and it would be fine it happened only once or twice every few games but it happens game after game and there's no fun in that.

I begged the game for 3 nonflawless wins in a reasonable win/loss rate, and instead it gave me and my buddy who has gone flawless before, 12 losses in a row. I’m not the best player at all, I’m aggressively ok. But I still feel like that after 12 games, maybe we could randomly get good luck with matchmaking and have it be the other side that gets steamrolled? But nope. Trials just doesn’t feel fun

1 ReplyBest advice I can give for anyone struggling to get through trials. Play Arc titan and use peace keepers. Personally I will never use titan but it’s a very easy class to use (titans are very user friendly and have really broken stuff).

1 ReplyEdited by SoppyBottomBoys: 3/19/2023 11:19:53 AMYou run a double primary, and even the matches you win, you are at the bottom on both teams. I hate to break it to you, just like a person that's been married 9 times the problem is you.

4 RepliesI grinded really hard to get to level 10 for the smg. I'm an absolute average player (usually 1.5 kda - 0.95ish ld) and I just have to accept that I'm not a player who is destined for the light house. These games have absolutely nuked any stats I had. Pvp in general is really off, I can't describe it. No matter what I do, what I learn, I just get into positions when I'm at a disadvantage. It also doesnt help that my gun doesn't fire when pulling the trigger half the time. I am not a player who belongs at the light house. Its sad but true and that's alright.

I got to rank ten and left. I'm done for the season.

No, it’s fbmm but I wouldn’t play it. It’s predetermined, 1 side will always 5-0 or 5-1 the other. Also the mode is overrun by “just playing for engrams “ people. Solo is definitely a no no. Bungie should just revert everything to d1 trials and leave it alone. This revamp is horrible

That's Trials, pal. Get used to it.

Hunter build seems like a solid load out. I say build more upon it and practice more in rumble and comp to get better at trials. Then next time you can go in a do a bit better until you get to the lighthouse.
Trials isnt fun
To be fair, since D1, I can't recall once it has ever been.

When has trials ever been fun?

Welcome to what a "competitive" mode looks like when you remove skill from it. Match making in destiny has always been -blam!- until they added SBMM, then it was removed because people were actually having to play at their skill level, mainly streamers and content creators, and it was to hard. So they made "loose sbmm" which theres no such thing, still tears, so they removed it all together and put CBMM back in which is probably the most idiotic mm for a "competitive" mode to begin with. I dont wanna hear no FBMM -blam!- either, thats shits faker than the mfer who came up with it and it is in no way, shape, nor form an ACTUAL mm system and they should have been absolutely laughed at and ridiculed for even suggesting something so -blam!- stupid So now all Trials and Comp will ever be is a joke 🤷♂️ CBMM ≠ Skill, never has never will, just leads to heavily lop sided matches.

I gave up on trials entirely after watching a stream. Have never played it since it’s inception. Probably never will. It’s not worth it. I don’t need that type of frustration right now.

Edited by A young old head: 3/19/2023 9:39:54 AMI agree, it’s just unfiltered chaos. Lobby balance is heavily swayed to 1 side. However, it takes time getting use to the way trials is played. Mostly everyone has been flawless in destiny at least once so don’t let that discourage you. So, it’s not necessarily opponents you can’t beat, it’s just they know how to play elimination better, good luck

You're gonna have to accept that you're bad and you're probably gonna get rolled a lot. I did, and it makes the whole experience better.
-
1 ReplyDude you're a PvE player like myself and 90% of what destiny is. I don't play trials because it's full of purely pvp players, that's all they do. I'm in the same boat. I go into farm but just get demolished by serious no lifers. It is no joke. So don't take it so literal.

After 2 years in D2 and a lot of work and dedication, I finally managed to stand my own and have fun in 6v6. Trials ? No way, I get rkt again and again no matter what I do. I accept that I will never go flawless. I grinded with pain (sorry for random team mates ...) rank 10 to get immortal. I ll have to wait next season and reset to earn a few engram to get a good roll :)

I enjoyed trials this weekend. Its been a while since i went flawless. My only loss was against a guy with 40k kills on a main ingidient, ill glady take a L against someone who doesnt touch grass. The 2 player mm is great. Also stasis turrets are the best 4th teammate anyone can have. It makes up for the rando with no thumbs you get 7 out of the 8 matches.

Your quite below average 🤷🏿♂️

1 ReplyWanna fix trials give adept loot without going flawless, because the non flawless pool, the mechanic meant to give casual players a small chance at adept loot; is infested with resetting K/D farmers and when their weekend is done the skill gap between casual and sweat will only get wider forcing casual players out of not just the trials playlist but also the core of crucible which will leave the player base of trials and crucible a barren hellscape even more than it already is, you elitists are killing your own playlist....literally the best trials has ever been in D2 was a couple seasons ago when they started introducing some casual friendly changes but they stopped too early, too short, and it is drying up again

You sound like a SBMM supporter.

1 ReplyYou’re a .53 yes trials is going to bad for you even if you weren’t facing anyone in the top 10%, you’re in the top 97% you’ll basically lose to the entire community. I know that sounds harsh but I’m only being realistic. If you want to win get better like actually put the time in. Everyone started for some where.

Trials is for the sweatiest players out there. Of course you’ll run into them there. Cry harder

Even when being steam rolled
