I'm asking you because your conclusion makes me believe you're a reasonable person. Seriously. Why shouldn't it be a thing? I'm assuming you don't intend to use it. I don't intend to use it. How does it hurt us? Who does it hurt?

Because why would they want us skipping the content they made? Seems like a bad move on their part which is then turned into a good move by charging us for it. Also, I'm definitely using it on my titan to catch him up

They probably would prefer we didn't skip content. They would probably believe that a different class would be a different experience. As do I. I'm sure they want us to experience the game they have made as deeply as possible. But some players feel differently. I'd look at it as skipping some content to get to other content that you want to play more.
