Can any one clarify, what the "rules" are for getting the emote medal "Insult to Injury" in guardian games?
I don't mean, what do u have to do to get it, rather, which ingame rules has been set, to keep people from abusing it?
I've been running a decent amount of strikes from the non-matchmade option during this GG, i enjoy the buffs from the boon, it is a nice new element to the game.
However, i also find it rather satisfying to see if i can improve my total score.
The best way, i found to get high scores, is to accumulate lots of medals during the run.
I've have mainly been going for the emote medal "Insult to Injury" and the 3 energy medals u get from kills with energy weapons, and the super medal "let there be light". This all works well since weapon kills buffs ability and super regen.
During this week though its been harder and harder to get those "Insult to Injury" to proc, mainly the text just doesn't show while emoting, and when i do the finisher, i guess it is not registering it as an emote-finisher kill. I did not notice this during last week, at all.
I assume, some new "rules" have been added to keep people from obtaining ridiculous high scores, by abusing some of the medals.
I.E: kill a hive guarding with the emote, let his ghost revive, do it again. Or whatever great ideas people come up with.. Could be wrong here though, just confirm that then :)
But if not, can u please clarify these rules, im asking here for the emote, but if others have been implemented, could these be published too.
When running solo, setting up the finisher, takes more time, than just outright killing the enemy, and then not getting the medal is a feels bad.
Also, am i doing something wrong? I mean, is it considered abusing/cheating/cheesing for trying to get a certain medal, on all the majors, the strike has to offer? a certain medal for all the thrash mob?
I don't understand the idea of making people fight for a top 10% placement, based of the highest score u can get, and then imposing nerfs or hidden rules to prevent people from getting a high score.
I get it, there has to be a line in the sand, and if u cross it, there will be sanctions.
Sorry for the rant.
Happy games everyone.

4 RepliesHi there. There has been on change to the "Insult to Injury" medal this week. The requirement for that medal is that it only works on orange and yellow bar enemies. The emoting can be very quick before you do the finisher, but if you're noticing an inconsistency that might be related to the duration of your emoting length or between different emotes, please let us know. Links to video clips are always helpful. I'd recommend that if you're not seeing the text appear when you emote, try a different emote or give it another second to appear, to see if that resolves your issue. The only recent change to scoring is that points for reviving fireteam members repeatedly are being ignored so players are not cheesing scores artificially to get the top 10% exclusive event emblem. https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1524499658134982656
