Please Reverse The Decision Of Nerfing Super Energy Gain in Shadowkeep

PvE has always suffered nerfs because of the PvP community and this one is too much. It's fine to tune super energy gained inside of PvP, but don't nerf the amount of energy gained from orbs in PvE. We're supposed to be "monster killing machines" yet our most powerful way to do so is getting nerfed. Please reverse this before Shadowkeep. PvP changes are fine, but don't ruin PvE

  • If it’s done in pve it will be done for a reason. I’m so sick mayhem in every game mode. It’s boring. If they keep making 6 man activities then yeah we don’t need as much super from an orb because it’s easy to chain anyway. And I was a lot happier making a choice when to super in d1 in a strike or nf. Than this 2 minute max super regen

  • Bungie hasn’t learned yet that the destiny community is very clever. No matter what they nerf, they will find another way around it to achieve their goals.

    • You do realize they stated multiple times they have made encounters in PvE around supers - like the Reckoning. these nerfs have to do with them not wanting us to cheese their ads and bosses too fast. all having to do with PvE- pvp just gets to feel the effects. nice change of pace- allowing for more gunplay.

      • What they should have done is actually make different enemies. Different enemies means they actually do different things, and not the same thing but look different. So in this case super drain. It's a really obvious one too if you know you are making things so players can super snowball. Just like it's obvious to make a boss not stand around waiting to get shot in the face multiple times over if you have a sniper that can have infinite ammo. But this is Bungie and its community thinking here.

        • As long as the gunplay is actually good, mobility is still where it is now, and it isn’t a reversion to year 1, i don’t care.

PvP changes are fine, but don't ruin PvE[/quote] The super energy gain was a pve nerf not a pvp one. Skull, Orpheus, Phoenix protocol etc weren’t issues in pvp. It’s also because supers are too heavily relied upon in pve. You have super chaining, masterworks that generate orbs, perks like pump action, light reactor, ashes to assets, dynamo, etc. all thing we didn’t have in D1 so getting super energy is easier now more than ever and that makes pve content too simple

        • Recently I was doing strikes. There was only two of us in the “prison of elders” strike (I forget proper name). When we arrived at boss neither of us had super or heavy ammo so for the first time in forever the servitor boss wasn’t insta melted. The fight that ensues is super fun and very intense. I had forgotten. Nowadays 80% of boss encounters don’t last so we miss out on some really great fights. Our power needs to be reduced end of discussion.

        • did you read the Directors cut? It's not just a PvP thing. Super spam and orb gain + some exotics makes a lot of PvE activities trivial. Right now you see the exact same load outs in every group you join. People think not having a well or tether is a no go and don't even know how to do activities without them. It's pretty sad honestly.

PvP changes are fine, but don't ruin PvE[/quote] I wish they would just take supers out of pvp and we wouldn't have this problem. With how heavy and special ammo work now their should be no supers. You spawn in with 2 bullets of special every time you die. In d1 you had to go get the special ammo box which was way better in my opinion and same for heavy that shit spawns in so frequently it's a joke. But since it's that way their should be no supers is pvp especially with all these people running super mods and thinking they are good

          • Others do provide a good suggestion of intellect coming back so this would reduce the time a super is on cooldown. I don’t know how long a super may be required before intellect. I’ve already passed on the DLC since many other games are coming out.

            • I mean, on the one hand I love running a geomag Warlock with cold heart and 21% Delerium and just killing everything between here and Ukraine with beams of arc energy. On the other hand, when I can use my super at every strike encounter we have a problem. Ideally you should be able to use it 2-3 times max, discounting orb generation and its effects.             • when something is so good its stupid not to use... that becomes a problem. for balancing for loadout diversity super regen was nerfed because they had to balance activities with certain load-outs in mind. this is why reckoning sucks because it just assumes that you always have a well because if i didn't and you had 4 warlocks, the activity would be a stomp. it is not only ignorant but borderline mindless to predicate the assertion that the nerfs happened because of pvp

                • When I can get 6-10 kills per super, and I can get 3-4 of those per match something is wrong

                  • Bungie puts zero forethought into design and mechanics or the sandbox The nerf is an easy quick lazy way to work around play testing, stress testing and doing their job.

                    • Either I've been relatively blind in regards to the daily complaints of the forums, or you're blaming the pvp community for something that only sounds like something they'd complain about but actually haven't. The main complaint ive seen is "x or y super lasts too long, nerf it so it stops lasting for the whole match". Haven't really seen any1 call for less super gain in regards to pvp. But, I did say I might be blind, so I could have just missed the mass posts calling for it.
