STOP FORCING ME TO PLAY PVP...

Can you please stop forcing me to play a game mode where i die the moment i spawn. I play games to have fun and leave infuriating people and angry emotions at work, dying instantly where it takes a whole clip for me to kill anything is not fun to me and feels like im back at work. I love events, i feel its a way to keep the game fun and not get boring but forcing me to play pvp just to progress an event is not fun! thank you. PvE players: -Have to play PvP for a total of 3(three) PvE meta weapons, two of which are pinnacles and are therefor not at all RNG dependant -PvP exotic quest steps are very short and easy to do even for the casual player, once again they are also a set task and not RNG dependant -Almost every activity in the director is PvE so there are options of what to play -There are alternative weapons that come from PvE that you can use and still compete in endgame content; Mountaintop, recluse, and Swarm of the raven are only actually needed for super hard self imposed challenges like 3 manning the menagerie. Everything else can be done with dozens of PvE guns like huckleberry, loaded question, spare rations, a one two punch shotgun, or a 150 GL like outrageous fortune or acantha-D, or any of the hundreds of other good pve weapons PvP players: -Literally every single PvP meta weapon in the game besides recluse and I guess revoker requires you to play PvE -None of these weapons from PvE are pinnacle weapons that have a set task that you can work towards, they are literally all acquired through layers upon layers of RNG stacked on top of eachother (Spare rations and Mindbenders ambition being the two biggest ones but there are dozens of others with a similar situation) -There are very few alternatives. Like I said revoker and recluse is really the only PvP meta loadout that is made with PvP weapons. Mountaintop is good but you are much better off with a shotgun or sniper like mindbenders or beloved, and not forgotten is okay but you are much better off with... well pretty much any other hand cannon. Unless you want to be at an unfair disadvantage in a PvP tournament or in quickplay or in comp you NEED to play PvE. -PvP makes up 4(four) activities in the director, I guess five if you include private matches and six once a month for iron banner. There is hardly any choice of what to play. You can play quickplay, or rumble, or the featured playlist, or comp. That is all you get. I know, “It’s a PvE game so of course you have to play PvE blah blah blah”. Thats fine. I am (usually, but sometimes it makes me want to smash my skull into a concrete wall,) okay with grinding PvE for my PvP weapons. But PvE players complaining about playing PvP? That is a complete joke. Get a grip if you whine about the pitiful amount of PvP you have to play for your PvE weapons that you don’t even need to perform in endgame content on your side of the game. You need a very minimal amount of brainpower to recognize that PvP players have it WAY worse when it comes to playing the side of the game that they don’t like.

      • The last two events where crucible was required were team kill based so they weren't really difficult at all. I don't play pvp and I don't have a lot of the exotic handcannons because of it, but the recent ones, lumina and solstice were much easier.

      • An event the commemorates the whole game, to no surprise that includes crucible.

      • It goes both ways, I wish I could unlock jotuun without having to grind for the boring forges. I wish I could’ve gotten wish ender by doing pvp because the bow was annoying to unlock with the crazy amount of times it made me return to the stupid dungeon and I did all it solo which also sucked.

      • I've played this game a lot and I've never felt forced to play game mode. Destiny covers a lot of game modes, you can't focus on one game mode and complain that you're missing out, and that you feel forced when you have to play a mode you don't like. Destiny isn't exactly a sandbox game

      • Destiny is not just PvE. Destiny is not just PvP. Destiny is both. So quests normally cover both unless the reward is a activity pinnical item. The Crucible is changing soon as all the info coming out of Bungie informs us. Also as you do not have a technical problem or a question please edit your post to move it to #Feedback where the correct development teams at Bungie may read it.
