Now, as most lore people will know, the last word exotic is owned by shin malphur, the man with the golden gun, otherwise known as the guy who killed dredgen yor and the guy who owns the last word. And as many know, the last word is coming next month on the 29th. So, on his quest line, could there be a possibility that he will make an entrance into destiny 2 outside of lore? I think many people think and want this, considering how many posts there have been about a voice actor for him.

Outside of what the data miners said, I see it possible. Thus far, we’ve met Uldren, Mara, Petra (in detail), Ana Bray, and Osiris. All of which, were thought to be unable to be met, as we barely met them or only read them in the lore.

It'll probably be a dumb Tex Mechanica quest.

3 RepliesI'm suprised about the voice actor posts... he's been voiced already in the malfeasance quest (corrupted strike part)... maybe he'll get another teaser as part of the last word quest and this will continue into drifter's gambit?

2 Repliesit would be best if we kill him during the quest and earn the last word.

1 ReplyEdited by IceApfel: 1/1/2019 4:51:49 PMNo, he won’t, sadly.
He says so in the datamined lore book.
Actually the quest comes out the 29th

From the unreleased lore book associated with it, it doesn’t seem that way. I think people will be surprised by Shin’s attitude in the book. Though I will say one thing, the last word we get isn’t a replica.

No I don't think we will. There were loads of datamined audio files leaked a while back along with the missions for it. Looks like shin talks to us through letters

2 RepliesIt's definitely possible for him to show up, however with the Drifter's actions and the Malfeasance quest i'm a bit concerned that Shin could be an adversary of ours. Guess we won't know until it comes out, i just really hope they don't spread it out like Thunderlord

16 RepliesI kinda hope we don't... The story of Jaren Ward, Shin Malphur and the Last Word was one of my fav's from D1. And it was a good damn story as well. Why was it good? Because it was written by someone who knew story structure, and what makes one interesting. However, that person is gone. And who we have now knows how to make bland, predictable antagonist with either no real agency OR uninteresting goals. I fear that if this current group of "storytellers" brings Shin into the game, they will ruin him.

1 ReplyWe better, how the hell do we get this gun? Shin better not pull a Stranger and just leave it on the ground with a note.
