new weapon quests not shared between characters
So i just did a bunch of strikes and work on my warlock to do the Countdown to Zero and get that started today. I decided after a bit to mix it up and move to my hunter so i could do the five bounties and get some progress towards Danger after Dark as well, and since the Countdown to Zero progress is supposed to be able to be done on all 3 characters why not?
Well this share isnt working...I did a strike on the hunter just to check, and sure enough...got a few kills and progress 1/40 on the strike completions, but my warlock got no progress at all - is still 5-40 and the same kills as before my hunters strike. Can anyone else confirm if this is bugged or how exactly progress is sharing?

6 RepliesIn the patch notes pertaining to todays patch, the only quest mentioned as being account wide is the crucible quest line. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47462 If you read the Nov 21st TWAB, only the crucible quest line is stated as being account wide. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47452 There’s no bug.

1 ReplyThe only requirement for the Crucible quest is to reach a certain glory rank. Ranks are account based, not character based. The gambit and vanguard quests are way more detailed in terms of number and types of requirements, all of which are tracked by character. So, no, I doubt gambit/strike data will "sync" from one character to the next. Progress made on your hunter won't apply to to your warlock or Titan (or a second/third hunter). This is probably why Bungie said only crucible quest progression will be account wide.

9 Repliesthis makes Sense. seeing that the requirements are Minimal to obtain these "rewarding Pinnacle" weapons.... if you had 3 characters you are running through, on a weekly basis, you would have both Pinnacle weapons in a matter of one week, then next week people will be on here posting how shit the weapons are and that there is no Content anymore. the PVP side of it, Makes sense, as well... seeing that there is a clear and present segregation between PVP and PVE players, it will not benefit anyone by having the PVP being character based, because of the requirements being extremely situational and involves around facing other players, and not coded Game enemies with generic and predictable responses and attacks, it makes logical sense to have PVP Account Based.

It’s not a bug only the crucible pinnacle weapon is shared because it’s bounty requires a triumph

1 ReplyI ran 1 strike with my storm caller warlock using risk runner and sleepless. Never used my primary weapon. At the end of the strike I had 150+ kills. Checked my progress in pursuits. Only 58 arc kills something must be wrong. I only used arc weapons and abilities. Used my super atleast 5 times also. Im sure everything is working as intended!

2 RepliesIt's only the new Crucible Pinnacle weapon that is account shared. The Gambit and Strike Pinnacle weapons are character based.

1 Replyto clarify since apparently some think this should be obvious that its a bug and cant be bothered to read the twab themselves (and then lash out when called on it), i am trying to clarify if its something others are running into or if I am the only one that has noticed this. I am also trying to get confirmation from bungie of the bug - is it something they are aware of? is it going to be fixed? rough timetable? (i know wishful thinking eh? but cant blame em if you dont tell em and ask) Is this even an actual bug? Did i just misread something? One of my clan mates suggested this wont go live until next week with the official expansion, but since so much else with their posts specifically say when thats the case and this didnt, it doesnt feel right to me
