Damn can i enjoy being 600 for a lil bit you gonna raise the level again

1 ReplyI at the other hand am glad they are raising it again, because it is one of those few things that ensures me sticking around, to chase that power level. To everyone their own, but I am enjoying greatly how I can evolve with each DLC and I get forced out of my comfort zone to collect new gear just to infuse it into what I want to really use. I am overall a solo player as well, but I dont mind going through raid with group of people once in a while. IF you really cannot find anybody, go to reqruitment page for Shrouded Gaming clan. It is god damn huge clan or rather community, with thousands gamers in it. There is like around 16 Shrouded clans just for Destiny, each almost full and they have their discord server for grouping up, where you can easily find others for raid or any activity you ask for.

Probably just far enough to give basic meaning to the raid and higher level activities for a about month (if you play reguarly). Past that point I hope they have guns and stuff to chase... but you never know... *looks back at Levi based raids... Sigh...

With randomized gear and Triumphs to chase, there is no point in also chasing powerful gear - which is often locked behind content not specifically associated with what I want to play. Moreover, how can I use all the cool weapons and armour if I have to select the best option to be upgraded with the handful of powerful gear. I get like 1 powerful energy weapon drop and have ~6 weapons to choose what to use it on. Sorry anything that isn't Badlander, you look fun but I need that shotgun for NF, etc. It ultimately just limits player freedom. And don't even get me started on masterworks and the enhancement core economy...

3 RepliesWe were talking about this earlier as several in my clan will be hitting 600 this week or next and others have yet to reach 600. I think out of about 25 members 2-3 of us have already been at 600 for a couple of weeks but we still aren't looking fwd to already having to grind out more levels. We at some point would like to play for fun and enjoy playing instead of feeling like we are constantly having to grind to get our level up and grind for the better gear. Sadly most of us still have plenty of the exotics to get also and there will be even more coming up.

6 RepliesThe game is designed to always put you in the grind mode. This DLC I am not doing it , just not worth it anymore. I did the grind just to see people that didn't do anything but get lucky on there milestones and drops. I now understand what a RNG game is and this is not enjoyable to have to grind every 4 months just to start all over. My examples are simple LAST WISH RAID = 19 clears = NO 1000 Voices NIGHTFALL Runs = 29 clears = NO D.F.A. (Legendary Hand Cannon) The list goes on and on. Now BS examples that people that have the best luck in the game. LAST WISH RAID = 6 clears = Received 1000 Voices twice NIGHTFALL Runs = first 6 runs of the 29 clears = D.F.A. = received the gun twice At the end the day it is all about pure chance to receive any of the good drops, if you are in the right place in line you get the drops. I am done with RNG along with many others , no worth the time to get nothing, got better thing to do

29 RepliesIm not even close to 600. I sit around 530 and Im lost. not even sure how to significantly raise my light level anymore. and fact is, I constantly feel like im alone in the game. Even when I manage to join a clan, they are always in their own clicks or sometimes 60 to 70 percent of the members aren't even online anymore. The game feels like it is severely outpacing my ability to keep up, and Im considering moving on, because it has begun to feel incredibly elitist... if Im not 600 I cant really get into raids, and playing by yourself is boring after an hour. They need to fix grouping mechanics for raids before raising light levels further.

Personally I hate power levels. Its ok because Destiny has horizontal progression with the actual gear but with scaling, power is such an arbitrary mechanic in games and only serves to needlessly pad out progression even further. I still cant do more damage to Calus (and thats great, keeps content relevant) but it doesnt change the fact that its arbitrary. Theres no skills, stats or abilities tied to it But like I said. Im ok for the most part because my gear isnt made useless every patch cycle like other games that are pointless to care about (XIV and WoW)

I know right. I just hit 600 last week and was thinking I could finally sit back and start enjoying this game and the fruit of my labor, as well as start tailoring what I do weekly rather than just chasing light levels. So much for that pleasant thought.

1 ReplyLevel grinding to make up for a lack of fun endgame content to keep you satisfied. Dont you feel accomplished doing the same tasks over and over to increase an imaginary number on your character sheet? such fun, such good time.

5 RepliesThis is why “enchancement cores” are still so bad even after they were added to a few bounties and they were renamed. If you barely get any and you invest the ones you do into improving your gear it’s all a waste when the next DLC drops and you have to do it all again now with a larger loot pool.

9 RepliesBetter yet, drop Power as we know it, and put it back to how it was during Year 1 of Destiny 1, where your Power contributes to your level. You level up to 20 or so as a prerequisite to the end game, and then your level only increases with every X Power. That way, damage creep isn't so dramatic, and Power becomes more linear. The current power trend is unbalanced and makes no sense. Vanilla D2's max power was 300 (for the sake of the numbers, I'm ignoring mods), and CoO bumped that up to 330, while Warmind bumped it to 380, and Forsaken stepped it all the way up to 600. This trend simply makes no sense and essentially makes the levels 331-350, and 381-570 'empty space'. More updates contributing to the power creep will only exacerbate things. And while there will still be a power creep using the Vanilla D1 method, it won't be as obvious or as steep as the current trend. Just my two Strange Coins...

5 RepliesAnd this is why after getting the base game and realising the money making tricks they use I`m still level 20 on all charcaters and about light level 282 max on my hunter because i`m not going to be forced to buy all these boring DLC`s with the same repeated crap! Yes no full stops in that sentence :). And i do still log in to enjoy crucible quickplay now and then though. Can still do okay against people with much higher power levels than me with some of my fave guns and exotics without paying extra every few months.
