It means that Bungie has made a quest but doesn't want people rushing through it and completing it in one sitting. So they make it a multi-part quest and the next part can't be completed till a further time. Sometimes it's one day, sometimes it's been as long as a week. Which is brutal for people like me where I had today off and wanted to complete it. Now I'm screwed on my time basically because I work all day tomorrow and through the weekend.

Thanks for the clarification guys, I understand the frustration now, especially from your part, I guess the only reason they would have to do this is for longevity of the game? Are they concerned about people logging in that they have to extend and restrict quests?

Well, some people say its to make it last...but making content "last" should either be the length of content directly or replayability of the content. Not locking us from completing it for a week. It's mostly hard for committed players that would have had it finished by now, but it just really makes us not want to play more than it keeps us in suspense. Especially when we don't even know what the reward is. It could be nothing good, although there are rumors that it is the Thunderlord exotic. (It's an LMG from the first game and that weapon class is being brought back, so maybe it's the first of them). But we don't know.

I would be inclined to agree, it seems more of a frustration to have to wait to complete rather than complete it in our own time. Not everyone is going to rush through it because they aren't able to. I mean if you compared it to another game, just for example, Fallout, if you were able to do half a quest, or even a third, and you then had to wait a while to even finish it, you can see it would be aggravating to say the least. In their defence, at least there are other activities to do in the meantime, though I suppose it's subjective to each player whether that is worth the time or not.

Well it sucks for me because I've got 600's. So I have nothing to do this week except for the quest. And a bit of Gambit for my 2nd Infamy reset.

On Gambit, there's double and triple xp for that soon isn't there?

2x right now until the weekend. Then 3x for the weekend until reset I think

Also, what system do you play on?
