Thank you Bungie for changing the type of exotics that drop, but...
Is it possible that you can make exotics drop at all? I have only gotten two exotics from forsaken, aos and chaperone. Nothing. No more exotics for me. This is ruining the enjoyment of Forsaken, and I hate running hundreds of strikes since forsaken, and finding nothing. The fireteam medallion does jack crap to help with exotic drop rates, only b.s. edge transits and misfit.
Edit: I got my first exotic engram playing gambit yesterday. It was a vigilance wing. Of course.

27 RepliesPlease no. It's pure RNG. Either you have bad luck or good luck. The rate it is right now is fine, they FEEL Exotic, they feel rare. They listened to this feedback post-TTK and Exotics were spoon-fed to us. The D1 and Forsaken rates are perfect. Super rare drops and it feels AMAZING to get them regardless of whether it's old or new. Strikes are... not the best way of obtaining them btw. Try higher light activities. I've had two drop in The Shattered Throne. The Colony dropped for me in the Last Wish raid. I've had a LOT drop during Gambit. Also be sure to do all or as many weekly/daily powerful reward challenges you possible can within the week. I did all my Dreaming City stuff on my Hunter one week and received two Exotics from doing that.

3 RepliesYeah bro it took me getting to 585 to get a drop and it was lord of wolves. Then when I was going for mythic in gambit I got sixth coyote. Haven’t seen any exotics since though it’s been like 2 weeks. I don’t get this game and it’s rng. Good luck I hope it gets better on the 30th

3 RepliesHundreds of hours in Forsaken and I've had one new weapon drop. Lord of wolves. I've also got the Wish-ender but that's not reliant on RNG. I farmed for the shotgun because I knew where to find it. It's typical of Bungie. They're already bragging about the new one's coming in the Black Armoury when most people haven't had a chance to try the Forsaken one's. All I've had is repeat yr 1 crap and they've been few and far between. The whole thing's getting a bit tedious...

2 RepliesPlayed since release I have a decent amount of time spent. No issue with drops or duplicates. Ppl complaining are just casuals and nothing wrong with that. But that being said this game isn’t for casuals and should never be. Go play fort nite please

2 RepliesThe exotic drought is real. I wouldn't say them being so rare is a great thing, considering I have multiple friends and clanmates moving on to other games because of the lack of exotic drops. I understand you hardcore crowd thoroughly enjoy the grind for rare drops, but when the other part of the community starts to feel left behind and thoroughly agitated at the lack thereof, it begins to become a 1% sort of issue. Sure, some people have been lucky enough to get what they wanted and they're fine with it, but there's something to be said for losing players to a lack of what they see as a tangible reward. I understand that anecdotal evidence of my group of players leaving isn't necessarily a solid argument for changing the drop rate, but on the other hand it's nearly everyday that I see another person signing off on these forums for this exact reason. You shouldn't have to grind for 100's of hours to get what is, in large part, the ultimate goal of the loot portion of the game. I'm not saying D2 vanilla levels of exotics, just a fair balance between the two. That, or a better way to grind for them, or some sort of catch all that guarantees a drop after a certain amount of resets to keep you logging in and playing. To end, I'm tired of seeing more and more of my friends abandon the game because the one exotic they want is locked behind an ambiguous and lengthy RNG grind with no sort of guaranteed reward at the end. Does anyone really enjoy spending days on end grinding just to feel like you wasted them? You don't go to work for the chance at a paycheck, and this is no different. You dedicate hours of your time to something, you should have something to show for it besides more... Legendary shards and a thousand Edge Transits. Long live the Transit. Ever may he reign.

1 ReplyYou only play one character of which is only at 554? I dont understand why you are complaining? Ive reached 600 before my first forsaken drop, and I play all 3 characters. Exotics dont drop just cause youve played since forsaken. A lot of people have it much worse and still dont complain.

3 RepliesThe problem is less the exotic drop rate and more the repeat exotic drop rate. Exotics are rare enough drops. To finally get one only for it to turn out to be another graviton is crushing. To have one decrypt into the exact same Forsaken quest exotic you've just ground for is infuriating.

Got three exotic drops from the shattered throne in one run...telesto,tractor cannon,lion ramparts. To me it’s all about the dupes not the drop rates.

Seriously it would of been cool when there was a loot pool of exotics that we never had before, but now that its mixed with other exotics that we already have it's like we have a 25% chance to get a exotic and a 5% chance of that 25% to get a new exotic... thanks bungie if your going to make exotics this rare take all the old exotics out of the loot pool
