thought I would post this to help. Get that oracle offering in 2 runs 👍🏻👍🏻
BOSSES AND MECHANICS
all heroic boss shields are immune.
- no harmony buff here
- these shields can only be dropped by certain mechanics
CRAGUR - BIG HIVE OGRE
- Spawns at the top of the stairs
- around the outskirts of the map minor bosses spawn in
-wizards at left, ogres at right, knights at entrance
-kill these guys and they will drop...ORBS...3 orbs
-throw orbs at boss to break shield
-it takes 3 orbs to drop shield
-TAKES ONLY ONE orb if tossed to another guardian to charge it up.
SIKARIIS - 2 SCORN GUYS
-spawn around central circular area
-will spawn mobs of screebs (exploders) right in front of itself
-detonate this mob of exploders on the boss to drop it’s shield
INOMIA - BIG TAKEN SERVITOR MONSTER
-taken blights spawn around map that generate the shield
-just follow the green shield tethers to the blights and destroy them.

all well and good if in a fireteam, I play solo, I threw the the orb at another player to which they then threw at a group of ads of which then God knows what happened to the other orbs so ended up not dropping his shield in time
-
Thanks for this!

1 ReplyGreat post, well explained!! Maybe this will help some players in future BW runs. Thank you!!

2 RepliesYes. Regarding the ogre (Cragur): The mini bosses always spawn the same way. First wizards at the left, then ogres at the right, then knights at the entrance. But you can take his shield down with a single orb by first throwing it to another guardian to change it up. (I suppose the person throwing the charged orb at Cragur needs to be 580+, for it to do enough damage to lower his shields in a single hit.)

1 ReplyIf you take 1 orb and pass it to a teammate/other player. Then have them toss it at the boss, it will drop the shield in 1 toss and then you can melt the boss. Last time I went in solo it was more of a battle to get a player to stop shooting and get away from enemies so I could pass them the ball then it was to kill the boss.
-
1 ReplyDidn’t know you could throw and charge the orbs for Cragur. Thanks for the post!
-
2 RepliesGood post, I enjoy jumping in and doing the heroic bosses. Was hoping we might see some exclusive weapons like EP as to give some incentive to run multiple times but once have have done it once it's pretty pointless.

11 RepliesEdited by Subsistence_Sasquatch: 10/13/2018 9:28:50 PMWhy did you have to mention you can just toss all the balls at the bosses shield..... Too many times I've seen Blueberries throw it only to have it hit some regular add, then you are screwed for that segment because no one thinks to throw it at someone to charge it first. - IF THERE IS A BALL THAT CAN BE THROWN, THROW IT AT A TEAMMATE FIRST. CHARGE IT
-
2 RepliesWait, wait, wait....you're telling me that I have to do something other than shoot the boss??? Nope, nope, nope, that's not how this works
-
6 RepliesGood post about a point less bounty. Offering to the Oracle gives rewards twenty power levels below mine. So why bother doing the well at all.
-
Ah, so that's why someone tossed me an orb during the ogre fight. I thought that was weird.
-
3 RepliesNice explanation. That's one of the biggest problems with Destiny since the beginning, Bungie doesn't explain shiat. And then people get upset and scream at other guardians, cause they haven't figured something out yet, cause again, Bungie hasn't explained shiat.
-
2 RepliesI wish more people knew about the Orbs being tossed to teammates to charge up. Its pretty belpful in The Corrupted Strike, while on the elevator.
-
Thanks. Completed all 3 but wasn't sure how you did the hive version. Luckily I had random teammates there who did.
-
1 ReplyThanks for this. I have had all three now and was able to eventually figure out the giant meatball, and 2 storm guys, but yesterday we had the Ogre. I was clueless, but apparently someone knew about the orbs. When I'm lost I just kill ads until I see the shield down then damage boss as much as I can. We got him so it worked out, but I still had no idea how they dropped his shields. I do now.
-
3 RepliesThank you, good info to know. I knew about the scorn guys, never seen the taken blight one, and thought differently on the ogre. This will be helpful next time.
-
1 ReplyThank you for this write up. I did not know about the charging mechanics.
-
1 ReplyI tried to pass the orb to a guy who was standing at the bottom of the steps continually shooting at the Boss. I'm guessing the continual "Immune" prompts didn't register. Stuck the orb his direction and he fired it at a random. I adore that guy. He was doing at least 94% more than the Strike AFK brigade. I'll forever cherish our moment he was oblivious to.

1 ReplyI’ve had people kill the wizards and ignore the relics completely. They then keep shooting at the immune shield. Idiots
-
7 RepliesSo many times I’ve passed the orb to someone and they just blindly throw it at a rock or the floor

1 ReplyEdited by NerfPaladins06: 10/14/2018 4:02:37 AMI wish I could report stupid people and stupidity was a bannable offense. Always some dipshit just shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting at the shield. Why do I get the feeling that these people know that someone else is just gonna break the shield for them and that it's just easier to hold R2?

3 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 10/13/2018 10:46:38 PMSo blind well is just like court of Oryx? Has the player pop started to disappear yet? I’m going to be late to the game in the Dreaming City.

Thank you, I had the misfortune of a clueless group earlier. I wasn't mad that they didn't know the process, but I think one was purposefully trolling by throwing the orbs away.
-
Mucho appreciated. 😃

Good call. Thanks
