So I did a few days of nothing but competitive for testing. Results are it is fundamentally broken. In all the games I’ve played 2-3 was was fair even match’s. Good talks with the people after words. The “dude I almost had you” “close call” & the like. Besides those games. Some felt “rigged” damage from weapons did not add up. It’s kinda hard to explain, but it’s like my team was forced to lose regardless of what we tried or did. Even when facing a team we out classed by a good bit. Now for the broken part. More than 90% of the games had a cheater, lagger, or paid recovery in it. Some of them I talked to on why? Why cheat. Why pay for a recovery. Why find a way to game the system. Most just already felt cheated by the current system & felt no remorse on cheating back to, in there eyes, “even the score”. I can see how they feel. Broken matchmaking, stacked teams, & people exploiting by getting a low rank to host the game. One guy admitted to using his cellphone while playing comp to be a lag god. A lot admitted to using bandwidth control on there router to induce lag. A few admitted to DDOSing, using a proxy or other methods in order to gain a advantage. Of the people that pay. It’s a matter of time. They want the gun for the “status symbol” but don’t have the time to get it with the way the system is set up. Losing just a few games can wipe out any progress you have made. It’s made worse when you run add in the lottery system matchmaking has become on if there will be a ringer or cheater in the other team. As for the people getting paid. It’s easy money. What’s more for them to be said. They are paid weather they win or lose. There is on 100% they will get you to the redix. Bungies recent changes are not to benefit the player base. But to help the elite & streamers. Those who are already at top rank can now join up with people of lower rank in competitive for easy matches. That way the top (the only ones Bungie cares about) can leave there rank and play in lower rank lobbies. That’s right you “middle class” players. Bungie implemented a changed so you can be farmed by the top % & streamers. Now my question is why? Why dose Bungie feel it’s in there best interest to cater to the 1%? Why does Bungie refuse to do anything about the paid backpacks? Why does Bungie not do any thing about the cheating? With the problems competitive will never be competitive. It’s just a cluster -blam!-. I seen a lot of weird stuff over the weekend. Even had a guy on our team killing himself to run out our lives in a survival game. People eating nova bombs & surviving. The lag teleports. A 3 shot gun taking 7 shoots to kill. People getting a revive while being unloaded on by 2 people at the same time. Back to back supers. Had my whole team abandon me in the middle of the first round. People going from not being able to hit the broad side of a barn to being pin point aim after losing the first 3 rounds & suddenly being unstoppable. And through it all I have progressed 0. That’s right. With the rigged games, lagging, and backpacks running around I have literally stayed even in points. No gains no loss. The entire weekend a complete wast of time. Bungie are you still clueless on why people resort to cheating? My last question is to the less than 8000 who have that gun. When you look at the feedback in the forums. See the complaints of cheating, DDOSing, paid recoveries, & backpacking people by the majority of the player base. That gun is going to have a stigma attached to it. You will not be looked up at for having it. Most people will likely look at you as a cheater or pay to win. Does that not bother you? Being seen in PVP from now on with that gun, knowing most people will likely say “look he cheated/paid to get that”.
