A very small percentage play ToN and raid
A larger percentage (solo players) don't. We don't care for hand outs, we just want egc.
Give use some solo end game content. I'm sure you guys are sick of hearing this, but Crota has been solo many times from start to finish. And some of the other bosses have too.
Give us PoE where we can fight all of the old raid bosses.....ALL of them (the sisters, etc)
Give us a blend/remixed version of the iconic weapons and armor sets from the legacy raids. NOT reskins, I'm sure the art team can get creative with the designs (NOT big ass shoulder for the Titans either).
Edit:. There are players who would just rather be alone. When I get off work the first thing I don't want to do is hear someone complaining. Too many elite, troll idiots.

I agree on everything but matchmaking and lfg. Looking at how players act on b.net matchmaking won't work. Give me solo egc.
Edit: Two things. One, the Reddit link points out a few things. Yes op talks about lfg and match making, and that's the part people keep referencing in their argument, but that is far from my point. You completely bypass all three of the first paragraphs and are trying to make an argument off of one sentence? Yes he or she mentioned matchmaking, but that's besides the point. If players want to do those activities they're are resorces out there. Use them. Not everyone want to raid or ToO. We had PoE, bring it back.
And two, MY POINT....THE POINT OF THIS POST...IS there are a shit load of ass wipe out there playing destiny 2. Why? nfc, all I know is I deal with idiots all day in real life. I don't wanna deal with them in game while I'm trying to chill from a hard day of work.
Matchmaking won't work for egc and this is again besides my point. Solo players need end game content. Some of us are anti-social (not me), some of us just want to go solo because of jerks. Part of the reason AAA developers are half-assing games is because of some of you. When players ask for more content (does it matter the form) you say "you should be fine with what we have or lack thereof" -blam!- that there's always more(they say the same thing about your money), bungie can do more and they should do it in a way that accommodate all types of. From hardcore to solos. Forget about the casuals.

37 RepliesSeems like one side of this are completely missing the point. Scrolling through, I keep seeing the "solo casuals want catered to" talk over and over. Sorry, but that's a fat steaming load and you know it. this isn't a topic asking for easy free stuff, they just want something to do. Is this a multiplayer game with communities built in it? Sure. Does everyone want to be a part of those communities? Nah. Some people want something fun to do that isn't gated behind the number of people they have with them. Raids and Trials aren't going to work for that player. They may not get what they're asking for due to time constraints, file size restrictions, costs, etc, but stop belittling people over things like these. Stop being elitist pricks because people want something to do without 6 people.

I've mostly had great experiences with lfg in the original Destiny game. Hell I found my best virtual friends from lfg.

3 RepliesI agree with you brother. People think solo equals casual. It’s bullshit, solo players have their reasons to play solo but are still skilled players. Bungie listen to this feedback, create end game content for solo players aswell. We definitely do not want any sort of handout or easy ride, just a fair chance to do our own end game content. If we do not have any end game content we will eventually go elsewhere. I want to stay with destiny but need the end game content that I can repeat weekly to keep me happy. That’s honest feedback

1 ReplyThis has always been a huge issue for me, the PS4 trophies and Xbox One Achievments have always shown that Raid participation ( not to mention completion ) have always been low and yet Bungie wastes so much time and assets in developing content that only a small percentage of players will be able to experience. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Destiny shouldn't have Raids, but for -blam!-s sake, make sure the rest of the game has enjoyable content ( that's worth doing ). I'm worried about Destiny 2's immediate future, a lot of people argued that Destiny 2 was too casual, and Bungie's current response to that criticism is to place a greater emphasis on Raiding and Trials, unfortunately doing so will invalidates all the other activities in the game. Raid and Trials participation won't go up, but the amount of people doing other activities will go down once the community realises how unrewarding they've become.

Coming from someone that has to deal with people on a regular basis and doesn't like to deal with people in general, people need to suck it up. I did when I finally started grouping with people for raids in D1. So there's no excuse for other people not to. Not every game has solo end game content and people need to realize that. Otherwise they need to go back to playing the old games where there was no multiplayer.

It was designed as a co-op game. If you can't deal with that fact and work with It then you're going to always struggle and blame others for your inability to work with facts.

I would love to fight the old raid bosses but not in Poe. Give me the option to actually go back do those old raids instead. I don't want to take a boss and take it out of those raids. They belong there. I've always said this but I think that d2 should have been an expansion. I feel like we lost so much from d1. to the point that the character in d2 is no longer my character anymore because it lost all my accomplishments. Now I don't want to always use the same stuff. I believe our old gear (d1 and d2) should be temporarily obsolete but should be able to brought up with infusion but way more complex and time-consuming. Every expansion should do this actually make us use the gear in that expansion and make infusion a more time investing system.

I broke out of my introversion shell to play a Raid in D1, and it was fun. I also got some great gear out of it. Totally worth it. For D2? Some useless armor, tokens, and routine guns just didn't do it for me.

More solo content would be great. They had a big opportunity with Lost Sectors and they made them sound like very well-hidden soloable dungeons or something with awesome loot. Instead they actually appear on the map, they're tiny and the loot is just random blue weapons/armor and not unique at all.

In essence what you solo people are doing is saying: Hey I don’t like RPGs, but I brought Skyrim, now can you make Skyrim less RPG so I enjoy it more...🤦♂️

It would not be terribly hard nor complicated to include tools within the game that enable and empower players when it comes to connecting and communicating with other players without using mics. Design with accessibility of features is key and could be good positive publicity for Bungie too. I am certain the player base would not be negatively impacted atleast.

1 Replyactually they could do both. Not to mention they could of done it from the beginning. All they would of had to do is have different paths within the raids themselves. Mobs would scale based on how many people are in a fireteam and their power levels. I would much prefer a dungeon crawl type thing. not just kill wave after wave horde mode style. Horde mode has been done to death in most games these days, why not try something different.

5 RepliesI agree with everything you said. I'd just disagree with you about matchmaking. Give us OPTIONAL matchmaking for all game modes, including NF, ToN and the raid. It's OPTIONAL so it doesn't affect anybody who doesn't want to do it. It also gives solo players the opportunity to experience parts of the activity, or who knows, they might meet up with other guardians and win or finish. You never know. We just want the experience.

11 RepliesI'm not really a solo player in a way because I play multiplayer games but in destiny I am because I can't get into a raid because I don't use a mic so it's a straight kick so I don't bother anymore. Community is full of douches. I'd rather deal with the most toxic community out there (cod) than destinies...

Now here's another question, what if I want to do it with friends? I don't like doing missions alone because the fun comes from the communication and stress of being with your friends. It's the opposite side of the coin for this particular idea. I don't particularly have fun playing by myself because a group can create an experience that I wouldn't get playing by myself. There are sooooo many games that are single player that would have been amazing as multiplayer games: Final fantasy 15, xenoblade...cant list all of them because it's been a while, but you get the point. Wouldn't this sort of change just split the community more, leading to even less people doing raids? It doesn't become a necessity like it's supposed to be, but rather a side activity. Isn't that just a waste of bungies efforts and time? Not trying to be disrespectful, just curious.

2 RepliesPlaying a multiplayer game and then demanding solo content. Makes great sense. The game is geared around teams. If you want a solo experience go play a solo game. I hear Skyrim is really good or Dragon age. Or any of the cod campaigns.
